I would like to know if is possible to have bouncing breasts.
You can make flex hair,(move with gravity) so why not flex breasts?

Would this be a script or just a flex prim or something else?

I was told a while back that the follow up to flexi prims was going to be jiggly prims. The plan was that prims that currently cannot flex (spheres, touruses, tubes) would be able to jiggle. So, if say, you drop a ball off a cliff, you'd see it squish when it hits the bottom, before it bounces back upward. The reaction in the room to this was pretty well unanimous, "Baywatch, anyone?".

I don't know if jiggly prims are still in the works, as the new sculptie prims could theoretically do the same thing eventually, and way more. We'll have to wait and see.

I've seen one vendor use flexi cones with a negative gravity or +Z force applied to them, so the tips (yes, that was a "t" point upward, but still jiggle with motion. Not terribly convincing, IMHO.

Another problem would be that prims all go outside clothing, so prim breasts would only work on nudes.

Maybe you should consider making a prim sweater shaped as if there were bouncing breasts under it. I don't do clothes at all, so I am just rambling here (my specialty, I know). Imagine
pink mohair sweater made the usual way, but with pink mohair attachments blended into the sweater. Then, there could be a script in the boob overlays that made them bounce a little.

Mostly, they just look like addone with any real life like looks. THey look fake!

Whether you're talking nude or clothed, the attachments still have to be textured to match the rest of the body. If it's nude, then they have to match the skin. If it's clothing, then they have to match the fabric. Either way, it's challenging to pull off convincingly. Clothing or no clothing, it's all the same thing.

But showing cleavage would be nice. I figured bouncing breasts would have to be
"part" of a top, like a bikini top. Also I am a dancer in a club so we strip. But it would not work for that because I would have to change my breasts when my top came off! Somehow that I find a little cringing!

It would be better if the lindens just add the option to the avatars.

if they can just make the basic shape of the boobs look right (boobs pushed up or together look so WEIRD) I'd be happy. The idea of big jiggly boobs just makes my back hurt.

They exist. One designer I know who offers them for sale is Govindira Galatea.

There are major limitations though. First, as people have pointed out, you can't wear clothing over them; you either have to be completely topless, or wear something like a harness that doesn't cover the boobs. Second, the color of the prim won't always match your skin color, because SL lighting affects prims and avatars differently.

But within those limits, the effect can be fun. You can buy demos from her to try out; look for the Charlotte skin, which comes with sample Pammies.

adding jiggly prims doesn't really have much to do with the graphics part of it, so much as the physics, and that is all done by the CPU at the moment. getting a set of univeral rules for that is difficult and can take up a lot of CPU run time (hence why they are comming out with dedicated cards to do it now)

before anyone mentions the physics in games *grins* they are done on an object by object state, which takes up a lot less CPU, as it only needs to work out a small bit at any one time

When LLAbs has them as a option I use them. until then I stay with these hehe

implant nation has bounce scripts for breasts, they're not perfect but it's better then the competitors

kayliwulf kingdom has them too, textured to match their latex catsuits.

AH! But look at the downside!! If we get Bouncy Breasts, we're also gonna have an influx of Bouncy Penis's!!

if you had a prim bikini over prim breasts, it would work fine I think.. like my av last night went furry, including the prim huntress leathers from temenos island, which would work fine for something like this....

Aren't there animated sculpties?

There are, but they use your parcel's media stream (movie feed) to animate. This has a large number of disadvantages in that you'd have to have an off-site movie streaming to every customer, and also, it means you can only use the animation on your own land, go somewhere else and your bouncing boobs would turn into spiky evil random shapes as the media feed changes =)

There IS a trick for sculpty animation, sort of. Using an animated texture script to change the sculpty map basically. It works ok.

Hmmm.... would bouncy/pokey Penis's make a woble-woble sound like a piece of sheet metal being shaken???

This is yet another example of sex pushing the tech industry into whole new revolutions, not to mention the great Turing test this will make for which female avatars are in fact being played by men. So guys, enjoy your click-fest with bouncy boobied SL girls, and try not to think too hard about the guy on the other end enjoying it for all the same reasons. lol

I read on here that one problem with these flexi-breasts is that they blow about in the wind! I'm glad I'm not too big in that department and quite well toned, so not very bouncy!


Are we to assume that male avatars with flexible willies are played by female RL's, then?

If we ever get a bit of bounciness built into the avatar mesh - breast and other wobbly bits including belly and thighs if you're fat, all well and good. But I'd like to see more realistic joint articulation at the more extreme angles first.
