This sounds neat Mr. Hurliman, a nice accomplishment. Say, how about posting a little sample of the XML code and the obj file so we can see what they looks like?

From: Darien Caldwell I respect what it can do. However I'm also concerned with what it can do. I'm not a luddite by any sense. Truth is if anyone wants to steal something from SL, it's remarkably easy. I figured i'd bring up the issue, because sooner or later, it will be brought up. If it's going to respect permissions, thats great. I didn't see anything to indicate it however. If it was said I must have missed it. So how do we feel about completely building from scratch our 400 prim hair pieces and boots individually for every other grid we want to visit or sell them in?

As much as we hate theft it is/will be as easy as stealing the HTML code of a website. This is the best analogy to pretty much sum up the relative securities in a different way: From: someone Textures -> Images Building -> HTML Scripting -> PHP
The idea of the permissions system is to merely put down any effort to theft. I wish we could attach licenses to builds, to be honest, just as we can do to websites, like being able to choose preset licenses such as the well known varities of Creative Commons which are perfectly designed for this type of copyrights and can be easily subjected to the same ideals of the Modification/Copy/Transfer Ownership system we now have, but with even more clarity, definition and detail. Back on topic; Thanks Eddy for your effort, I really look forward to compiling the tool and trying it out myself, I have been looking forward to something like this for a long time. Now I could go ahead to trying to do some things I always wanted to do.
