How big can a vehicle be in terms of Prims & Size? I've been told verbally 35 prims (they though) but have been unable to find any additional details for confirmation. If there is a guide I would greatly appreciate a link to it.

This may be dumb, but I've been unable to find any information in the Wiki's, FAQ's or Tutorials.

Physics objects can consist of up to 32 prims.
In vehicles, avatars count as prims too so a 31 prim vehicle can only be used by the driver, a 30 prim could also carry 1 passenger, and so on and so on.Non-physical vehicles are quite another story - which I will leave to someone with experience to discuss. *EDIT* errrm - that's 31 prims including avatars - Thanks, Chosen |

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize that AV's counted in the prim count too!
![]() Is there any word on whether the restriction will ever be lifted/raised? Perhaps during a graphics engine upgrade? |

Ben, you're off by one. The max is 31 prims for physics, not 32. A one-seater vehicle can only max 30 prims, plus the pilot. A 2-seater, 29. Etc. _____________________

My "ideal" would have been to create a floating "Airship Home" but from what I've read in the forums this simply isn't possible. Prim size aside, you need to also be seated so "Walking accross the room" is "phyically" impossible".
So much for recreating "Mok's" home from "Rock & Rule". Ah well, back to flying sailboats. |

Say What!?!

Craig,
don't give up so easily!! ESPECIALLY on Mok's place!!! remember, only the blimp part has to be a vehicle, the rest of the house was stationary. it might be more easily acheived if you were to scale it down a bit and some creative "primming" to boot. although, you would have to do without the billowing out of the blimp and settle for something a bit more rigid in it's animation. wow.. how awesome that would be! just let me know if you plan on raising any demons.. i know of at least a few "Angel"s in SL, so i'd probably try not to stumble across Nuke York or Ohmtown during those times. ![]() although it would be really cool to see much of Rock and Rule replicated here! hmm.. i wonder who'll make the first Mok outfits?!? _____________________

Airship homes are rather easy to make. I don't think the hover script falls under the physics restrictions. http://photobucket.com/albums/a212/Bagu00/?action=view¤t=my-crazy-ship.jpg I think this would make a nice platform for a home It comes in 2-prop and 4-prop models. |

While we are on the topic. How is it still possible though to make vehicles with hundres of prim? these are usualy the higher detail vehicles, are the only consequenses not enabling physics?
ah nvm just read hover script has the loophole for it. still this killed my project I think. |
