So I'm making the thing that I will eventually want to wear, but I don't wear it while I make it, because it seems I can't link and unlink prims while I'm wearing it. So I stand on my posing stand and position the thing right where I'll want it to be once I wear it. Like, if it's a hat I build it right on my head. Finally it's done, and I attach it to the correct point. But then I have to readjust the positioning, because wearing it has caused it to move to what I assume is the arbitrary "first wear" position for that attachment point. I wish the object would stay exactly where it is when I wear it for the first time. Can anyone help me with this?
