The verbiage is too vague to have an answer...

Do you mean:

Can you buy a Teleport Hub?
No

Can you buy a local (Short Distance) Teleporter?
Yes

Can you pay someone to Teleport you to where they are if they happen to be where you want to be?
Depends... Most people will do it for free.

Sorry, I don't know the difference between a Teleporter and a Teleporter Hub.

My thought was to have one one my land so I could teleport directly there instead of the nearest teleport which is like 600m away.

Or is there an easier way to get directly to my land?

You can always teleport directly to wherever your home is. While standing on your land, go World -> Set Home to Here. Then whenever you want to teleport there, simply go World -> Teleport Home.

A teleport hub is the place you arrive at whenever you use a landmark, teleport to a region from the world map, etc. Odd looking goldish buildings or floating platforms, generally (I don't pay a lot of attention to them myself. Given all the commercial spam around them that tries to impose itself between me and my actual destination, my goal is usually to get moving away from the hub as quickly as possible.)

A teleporter is a gadget that you can buy or make that transports you to a place within the same sim (usually), like teleporting between floors of your home rather than using stairs, or teleporting to a platform several hundred meters straight up (above the height that people can fly under their own power).

Thank you both. I understand now :)

Now I'm just wondering what is so high that you can't get to it?

I tried flying as high as I could and saw many things I couldn't make out...lol

People build up there partly for privacy (such platforms are a little harder to reach and to find, and they are usually spread out enough that the leet-speak conversation about bling-bling from the ugly store box next door doesn't constantly filter through your walls), and partly for reduced lag (when you are higher up than your draw distance, the server isn't streaming/your computer isn't rendering everything on the ground).

To reach such platforms, you either need to use a teleporter, or a flight-assist device like Cubey's rocket packs/warp/spork.
