From: Toasty Raymaker One more question (dunno whether i should post it here or not), is it possible to animate a building in so far as to be able, for example, to swing an entire wing of a house 'hinge style' to a different position on the same axis or slide it out? It would be like a giant inhabitable wooden puzzle. Wow, I like how you think. You are perfect for SL. And to think people ask what there is to do here! Can't wait to see what you do in the future.

Yes i'm back, with another: ''i don't know whether this is building related but...'' question. If i was to create a skybox with separate sealed rooms that moved around each other, how could i make it so that i (or others) could teleport from room to room easily? Is it possible to install some kind of inter-room teleport hub in each room?

Yes, the old SitTarget teleport would work for this, provided it had some way of knowing where each room was at each moment. If they were in constant motion (bad in several ways), this would be a pain in the butt. If they only moved once and a while, it would be easy.

If anyone can give me any detailed help on using the SitTarget teleport system to 'port' between constantly moving rooms, please post here or PM me. I have yet to start working out the complexities of animating the building, but the whole design hinges on whether i can set up a working teleport system, so plz, plz, plz, help meeeeeee...

Toasty, ...about your question about sealed rooms and teleporting... Have you been to the SIM called, "The Future"?...and seen the incredible 4D house?
I think it does what you want WITHOUT teleporting. And if its NOT what you were after, its a very fun place anyway.

Be nice to your neighbours and if you must have a castle in the sky put it IN the sky not hovering, loomingly, in their view. Yes the rest of the sim might well be full of rubbish but that's no excuse to blot out the sun for people.
