Trying to find a copy of a tool which i believe is called rez faux. It is used (i'm told) for calculations relating to the construction of large scale circles. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Yup, Kokoro's right about where to get rez-faux. However, it's not exactly for constructing large-scale circles, although it can help you package one up after you build it. You might mean the ShapeMaker... try searching in-world or in the forums for it, it helps you make large rings, spheres, and toruses.

You need to take squares and taper them so it looks like a pie piece. Then copy and rotate them in a circle. Then to align their height just copy one Z axis and go around each pie piece (perferably link the pie piece) then just paste in the Z axis in each piece. Put a stem in the middle then just link to that stem. Then your done. The smaller the pieces and the more pieces you use the bigger the circle will be.

This will work, but if you are looking for the automated tool that makes giant rings, circles, tori and spheres it is made by Cadroe Murphy. Used to be two tools "ringmaker" and "shapemaker" but now I think they are unified into one. Check out his profile. They are usually just on a table in his back yard for free.
