I had another person fly into my skybox again. :(
The problem is that they are flying too fast for all objects to load and thus my skybox just materized around them.
I am moving my skybox up to 390 meters since my ground is at 100 meters.

I suggest that people, me included, move skyboxes up to the maximum
teleporter jump height, which is 300 meters, and keep the area between (ground + 390) to (ground + 50 meters) mostly clear for flying.
Signs, solid objects are fine, but it's annoying to be trapped inside someone else's room.

Note: This suggestion would not apply to sites that want to make large full scale items. The rocket museum for example.

I also noticed that the "no access" feature only goes up ~20 meters.

I wonder if there is a way to tag them when they use the teleporter and then have an "Eject" system that keeps people from flying into my
basement.

As a feature request it would be really neat to be able to build below ground level. I know that it's possible to place objects below ground level since I have done it accidently. (It's hard to get them back)

This would require the teleporter setting some setting that allows the
avatar to ignore the ground. Or make it so that if you are more than 10 meters below ground level the ground is tuned off and you would fall to 0. You can fly up threw the ground, but not down threw it.

Edit: typos

Most skybox builds I know of are well above ground (mine are usually about 500 m. above ground and I use an elevator to reach them). The only way to keep your skybox safe from the casual flyer is to keep it above normal fly-height. (i.e...above max flight height without an enhancement script).

I'm hoping (crossing fingers) that incredibly tall structures meant to trap avatars will be disappearing now that telehubs are gone...

...but yes, we will still run into eachother's builds once in a while.

I wouldn't bother putting a skybox below 500m these days, if I didn't want people flying into it by accident. I wouldn't put one much over that to avoid vehicular suicide.

it would seem to me, based on the linden announcement, that the 300m height is no longer an issue with tp and the "z coord being honored" remark in this post...

unless i am misreading (happens too often)

that is meant when you teleport in or are invited somewhere, so your not in the skybox and your date is in the pond below.... whats being talked about is trick used with llSitTarget, and doenst really tp you anywhere, it just sits you 300m above the object.
