If anyone wants a copy of the LSL Wiki, I have mirrored the website (current as of December 18, 2005) for people to download for offline viewing.
Currently, I do not have a website to host it on, so the only method of transferral I can think of is through an IM client (AIM, Yahoo, MSN).
If anyone has a good place I can host the file, please tell me!

size - 19.4 megabytes
format - .zip

I can host the file off of my domain if you like..its sitting there pretty much unused b/c of lack of free time. Let me know if this would work for you and i will send you the FTP info to upload the file and setup a DL page.

It's only cost me... $1.65 at the time of this writing. Been running since July/August. They give you virtual root, FTP, Bash, the whole nine yards. Total storage of my acct: 32 megs. Avg. If it's just the one zip file you need hosted, why not look into one of the free file hosting services instead of a full-blown web services provider? Something like RapidShare, for instance, should suit your needs. Sure, it's got that annoying download queue thing, but hey... it's free.

Get it to me and I'll host it. I currently have 181 gigs of transfer per month - grows 1 gig per week - (which I have used about 50 megs of in Dec so far) and about 6.25 gigs (grows 40megs/week). It costs me next no nother (primarily because of commissions on referrals).
Jeffrey - Took a look at nearlyfreespeech, however it appears they don't provide email, thus no way to rpc - which of course is a big thing as far as a host related to SL |

Let me see... I'll try posting it to the www.ourmedia.org site, and then if you'd like to mirror it I would be priveledged! I'll try to keep it up-to-date once a week, so we've got a current mirror of the project. Torley, I would be honored for you to host the mirror! The only reason I haven't sent it to you is because yahoo won't allow for large file transfers (so far as I know...). However, if you've got AIM or Yahoo Messenger, I would love to send it your way! (that goes for anyone, if you want a copy just IM me, ghordon_farina at Yahoo and misterghordon at AIM) EDIT: Currently, I have discovered the reason for why the wiki backup is 30 megabytes large... And I am removing the problem. Worry not, friends, the file will surely be email-friendly when we're done. |
