llMoveToTarget Changes

According to an earlier post by Darien Caldwell, the Lindens were mucking about with llMoveToTarget.

Has anyone tripped across anything documenting (or even just *saying* -- perhaps documenting is *way* too much to hope for) exactly what they did in mucking about with it?

Been a loooooooong time since I had a hug so don't know about move to target being borked and my flight script still works fine in MONO. But llApplyImpulse was changed and I haven't had time to find a workaround yet.

Just looked and couldn't find the post about it, but I recall a Linden stating that some people were using llApplyImpulse the wrong way, which is totally ludicrous. If a function works to get something done then it is correct usage. Just as when an enlightened Linden borked the llSitTarget hack because it wasn't documented that way. Of course in that case they quickly backtracked.

I agree. I hope that isn't true. llApplyImpulse() used to do exactly what it said it did, and exactly what you would expect from physics. I sure hope that hasn't changed. :confused:
