Zombie Thread: Scripters who are willing to help

Using arcane techniques and dark arts, I am reanimating Francis Chung's useful thread from the old scripting fourm.

Speak up here if you are willing to help people out with scripting problems, and/or wanting to be hired for scripting jobs.

I am not available for projects at this time, but I am almost always willing to help people with their scripting problems.

I am a trancendant scripter of indominitable skill and amazing talent. I should totally be employed by Linden Labs.

Which reminds me I've got to send them an updated resume...



Anyway if you need anything scripted I'm your squirrel.

From simple things like Doors and Animated Textures to more complicated projects like physical or non-physical elevators, and collossal doom fortresses, I can do it all.



I like to help out, and I often slack off on my own projects, so don't be afraid to disturb me.

Heh, if everyone doesn't already know, you can ask me questions anytime, I prefer the forum for Q&A, since the answer is public and archived, but via IM is fine.

Help with a broken script is also pretty much free, but don't push your luck too much

I don't do tutoring, no matter what (I **really** suck at teaching structurally.)

Commission prices are based on how fun it was and how hard I had to work at doing the commission. (Range: Free to L$10,000).

Whatever you do, NEVER ever send me a teleport request, unless I ask you. This annoys me greatly, espicially when I accidentially click on it and am dragged half a world away from what I was working on. Prepare to be orbited if you do this.

I am at the point now where I am helping fix broken scripts / custom write new ones quite regularly, and as a result have run into all kinds of things I would have never used on my own (at least not that soon), I welcome this. Add me to the list

I know my way around scripts well enough and am willing to help out those who don't. I do better on smaller projects though. Just get in touch with me and we'll talk further.

I'm willing to help with questions, as well as help people at the several scripting courses I hold each week at the University of Second Life.

We also have a large selection of scripts from the old forums, transcribed there for your use, all free of charge, at the University's Library which has been around for several months.

I'm avaiable to help with any questions, Not the greatest scripter but I've been scripting since day one, even back in the old Beta days! And my knowledge of C++ made that transition real easy (Hooray for scripting systems that resemble a real programming language!)

I am also available for hire, just get in touch with me with what you need done and well work something out.

I would be happy to offer free troubleshooting help to anyone who runs into a problem or needs help getting started.

My greatest strength is probably software architecture, so if you need help designing a project BEFORE you code, let me know.

I may be available to write code for you, depending on the project and price offered. Also interested in revenue-sharing arrangements.

Heh, ditto. I prefer designing and optimizing a system than repetitive grunt work. If you need any tips regarding that feel free to IM me.

I'm a free scripter, but if you want to tip me, it all goes to VERTU anyway. Anywho, I'm a little backed up, so I may not always be able to write your script 100% of the time, but I can always help you. And I'll TRY to find time to write your script Did I mention I'm free?

Free to answer scripting questions/write scripts for you/help you with script problems etc. I even do private scripting classes for one or more people and since I'm not a professional programmer I won't throw heaps of technical words at you or anything. I have also been told by past students that I am very patient, hehe.

I'm not the -best- scripter out there, but I'm decent, and generally available if I'm online. While I've got projects of my own, I hate working on them for extended periods of time, so any excuse to work for someone else is an excuse I'll usually take.
