Quickie question here, possible to get an avatar to actually walk to a destination if I give it the vector coordinate?
I was trying llMoveToTarget() in an attachment but no luck.

llMoveToTarget will definitely work. But working with physical, scripted attachments can be tough. For llMoveToTarget to work the object it is in (which is attached to the avatar) must be physical. Then every time you compile the code you will need to detach the object and drop it on the ground and pick it up and re-attach it (I may be incorrect on this and simply attaching and detaching it may work). After this is done the script should work correctly. Just remember to use llStopMoveToTarget to let the player move again.

attachments wont do it .. think poseball mixed with a car Attachments will do it, thats how basic huggers move you to your target. We discussed one previously here and it contains code in the MoveCloser function to move your av. |
