They are the files from this other forum thread:
/15/da/37403/1.html

The thread has the same download link twice:
http://www.badgeometry.com/scripts/bvh-importer.zip

I don't know if the files in this download are even the most recent version.
For I noticed that the sample BVH data that's in there and the parsing mechanism do use different spellings of the word "hierarchy": HIERARCHY and HEIRARCHY
So I don't know how the parsing would ever work... :)

Thanks,
Stukas

Missing scripts for BVH importer
01-02-2007 17:34
I have the same questions as Stukas. I do not find 2 of the referenced scripts; List Interpreter and Rez Code, in the download. Where are these scripts?

Does the model/prim group that the scripts are attached to have to have specific names matching those in the BVH list?

A working example in world would be most helpful as this process seems to have very specific requirements.

Thanks

All the downloads in this thread (and the associated threads) seem to be lacking two of the five scripts that are needed.

You can get a full, working example here:
Matachin Tower, Specter (240, 31, 84)
Inside the tower, first floor, the blue box. It's free, just take a copy! :)

(The two missing scripts are in the "Joint" object inside the blue box)

Hello, I've used the blue box to import the default walk animation of the SL avatar (avatar_walk.bvh) but I got a

hip: Script run-time error
hip: Stack-Heap Collision

What now ?

PS: I'm a beginner in LSL and know nothing about 3D animation.

After messing around with this and seeing how difficult it would be for the normal user to make his BVH files fit into the converter, I made this:

I present my AniMaker, an in-world animation recording system for everything (creature or mechanism) created with prims.

i'm just trying to use your importer but i'm having some problems understanding the usage instructions beacuse i'm not an lsl nerd at all..
:)

could you please explain me what you mean when you say
"simply place the List Interpreter and Rez Code into a Cube Prim"
...

what are Lsit Interpreter and Rex Code??

thanks in advance..

This script does not seem to exist anymore where it says it is supposed to be.

The link in this thread to three of the five files still works - but there are supposed to be 5 scripts.

Anyone got a copy?

Digging up the past...

Hi there,

Are these scripts still available, and if so, how can one get a copy of the scripts nowadays? I just came across this post yesterday, and though the original threads here are 4 years old, I would still very much like to give BVH To Prim importer a "play with", if it's still available.

Thx,
~Chipley

Thanks for that.

I'm still around, too, even if my forum attendance is less than it used to be. :)
