I've not noticed any lag from the way my script works. If I did a sound loop the sound would get out of sync with the second hand and that's not what I want. I want my clock and the sound to be in sync at all times. Otherwise, what's the point of having a second hand and ticking sound if it's inaccurate? I prefer to stick with my method. I've never noticed any negative effects from doing it this way.

that's true, i guess it just depends if you're doing alot of stuff in the timer event, and whether or not there are alot of timers in the sim. i have a flicker script that has a sensor in it. it shuts itself off if no one is within 30m. and it has to be turned back on manually (the sensor and the flicker)

The sensor is a great idea, although a sensor causes noticeable lag. *rubs chin*

right, when it's on, which is why i have it turn off when no one is there. i don't have it repeat as often as the timer for the light.

I bought a clock face for the bell tower on my large church build a while back, but somehow I dropped the scripts out of it, so the seller was very nice to come up and replace it for me (lifetime guarantee on the clock too) But after a few days the tolling bell sound kept looping over and over, I removed the toll script when it tolled out 35 o'clock and showed no signs of stopping.

Wanting Westminster chimes, I found a carillon and the seller Mikki Miles had an additional script for use with a clock.
Works real nicely and chimes out the quarter hours and sounds good, though I think the sequence of the bells is one bell out of the sequence I'm familiar with, but there's probably minor variations in the specific order.

The carillon uses notecards and plays other music by dropping the notecards into it, followed the instructions but they don't work, maybe the clock script doesn't allow simultaneous use of those, I get an empty menu error but the notecards are in there.

The carillon works perfectly at the seller's place with them, but then again it's not using the clock script. Wonder if anyone here has this unit and was able to get both to work.
It's located on the top of my build, one would need a flight feather as it's at 1018m;
