Hi folks...
Just wondering if anyone else has this problem.
FYI: I have reported this as a bug to Lindens with no response for more than a week.
I am making a Lottery Ticket Vendor that works like this:
User pays Machine to operate.
Machine allows user to drop notecard.
Notecard is read and some variables are set.
Machine rezzes Lotto Ticket and passes some data via private chat.
Ticket is ready to take.
Ok... here is the problem:
Since the Ticket is essentially paid for (user pays machine before ticket is rezzed) I have
set the ticket price to $0 so that when it rezzes, the user can just buy it for $0 (Original) and now owns the ticket...BUT
For some odd reason, the newly rezzed ticket is set for sale @ $10 instead of $0 as it should be, and since the Ticket Price is only $1 (prepaid to machine) I see no sensable work-around (such as Post-Pay for Ticket).
Now, I have checked and re-checked 789 times, and made sure the Ticket is set to Sell for $0 Original BEFORE stuffing it into the vendor.
I've thought about just having the vendor give the ticket to the user, but that would take away the "realism" I am looking for and more importantly...would not pass the much needed data to the ticket via private chat once rezzed.
So..anyone else have this problem?...
"IS" this actually a bug?... or is this "supposed" to happen normally?
Any solutions for a work-around that I have not seen?
Thanks,
Mitz
I dont know it all...just enough to be "Dangerous!"
