using WarpPos to move to other sims by coordinates?

Hey, I'm working on a trans-sim missile, and currently the way set the target is by saying "location xxx yyy" (where xxx is x, and yyy is y). Now, this only works in the same sim. I'm wondering if I can figure out absolute coordinates in the entire grid or something, to move the missile to the appropriate sim (specified by the owner). For instance, "location Columbia xxx yyy" or something.

You can but there are limitation which have been previously discussed here, void sims, no script land etc.
However doesnt using warpos sort of defeat the entire idea of a missile? , missiles cannot 'warp'

I found a warppos script here on the forum and when I embedded it into a block of wood it did just what this guy was asking. I told it where to go and it "flew" to that location. I could sit and watch the ground go by me. Of course that could have been due to a number of technical issues but that's how it appeared to me. I even opened up my map and followed my progress.

But, as mentioned above I did have problems with areas that were security locked. I think they sort of made my little tour seat go crazy because my ride lasted a long long time. haha.

Anyway, on the premise that I'm wrong just IM me and I'll give you the cross sim item that I rode.

I'm not trying to grief. I'm trying to create a sellable weapon for use in combat sandboxes. So far I suppose there's no way to specify the sim that you want, and the coordinates in said sim, am I correct? I was under the impression that aubreTEC's Centurion could go to any sim that you specified. If it's impossible, I suppose I'll just be forced to limiting it to the sim it was rezzed in =\

What I think would be really cool though, is to have a realistic missile that launches, applies the force required to bring it to the destination, gives a report on its current location, and when it hits report that it was a successful detonation. It would be even neater if the time was "realistic". Launch a one from Mauve to Rausch, and have it take 20 minutes, heh.

I hate when people dont read what I take time to write. There is a script on this forum for cross sim transportation. You type the name of the sim and the coordinates and Off it goes.

Alright alright, I'm sorry. I was mostly responding to Geuis's response. Martin, could you give me a link to where the script is? That would be most appreciated

Just IM me and I'll give you the item with the script inside. That would be easier for me than searching the script using the search feature. Hmmm, search feature. haha
