is there a way to make an object so it can't be returned to you? i don't mean so people can't get rid of it but so it would delete itself if they "return" it instead of going back to you.

No - but I'm sure there are a lot of us that wish that was so.

What would the need for an unreturnable object be?

For one, an object that you really don't care if it ends up back in your inventory or not. Like Lordfly's Zombies. Two, cut down on "Your bloody freakin' object has been returned" messages. If they're just deleted by default, and you choose to do it that way, that's fine.

Choice is always good.

Personally, however, I'd like to have objects that land-owners can't return OR delete. But that's just me.

yep, poor Lordfly's my inspiration. :D plus with stuff i make i plain old never want to get it back if it gets lost. i still have a copy of all my stuff so it's a waste of everyone's time to return it.

like Moleculor said it's all about choice.

I whole endorse this product/feature rofl (whats the story behind everyone typing that?)

a objectreturn() event would be nice :)

First use I see of it would be griefing, other than that, not sure

If you don't want an object returned, use the objectdie command to have it die itself.

Huh? That doesn't make too much sense, Mol. I mean... people don't pay land tier to support other people's prims. :D

Heck, I don't even own any land, but if I found someone else's something on my property that I couldn't return OR delete, I think my immediate solution would be to Report Abuse. :D

NO NO NO

Imagine something like this

objectreturn()
{
llShout(0, "DONT RETURN ME!!!";);
llRezObject(blah);
}

maybe something like llDieOnReturn(TRUE);

That would be great, for a like a house on your property...

Once in a while my house gets return, roommates playing I guess..and have to reput it out, match it back up, a pain. Would love to make stuff like that returnable only by me, or have to uncheck something to make it returnable. But of course, on yours, or group land only..else griefers would use this.
