I'm a new Photoshop user and I've just been playing around a bit with some of its features. I rather like this picture of my girl, Robin Vogel, so thought I'd share it here.

I was unhappy with the general resolution of the SL captures so I did this one using Hypersnap in region mode to capture just the display window. This gave me a full resolution image to work with. Anyway, here she is :)

This is my first ever photoshop, do be nice :)

I also spent a few minutes setting up the scene, a little back story.

A few minutes after my lone raid on the DES headquaters in Sydney, they sent out the scout hoverbots. These things are packing, with a minigun that can kill you twice before you hit the ground. This is an image I was able to hack off their mainframe, it was the last thing this poor scout bot ever saw. Its a picture of me and my getaway car, luckily they werent able to get the license plate, and considering its a very common vehicle I lucked out.

Man it has been so long since I last logged on into SL, and then I saw this threads (also the new forums design, Sweet!), and I thought I might as well join in on some of the fun. I made my AV look as much as my real life image of myself, right down to the teeth. OK well my teeth are in better shape in SL than it is in RL. :D Anyways here is my AV with some PS effects added to it.

Next update on my AV, I am going to try and import some facal textures and use them on my AV to see if it gives it a better look, than this plain skin feel.

Goofing with photoshop on portraits has been a hobby of mine for a couple of years now, but I found it's even more fun on avatars than people. :D

Here's one I did the other day, I tried to scale it down and I think I went too far. It got a little blurry.

Edit: Oh good lord, I posted as Raizer. :eek: .... I'm actually Starley, I swear.

Here's my last three avvies.

GIANT RAVEN: Standing about ten feet in height (Well, in SL!) this big (but not enormous) bird is the final in my public line of birds (created just before the phoenix)... After those two, I am going to attempt some nonbirds, the Brewmaster being my first success in the mammal kingdom. :>

PANDAREN BREWMASTER: Based on a unit from Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne, the Brewmaster is one of my real rare forays into the mammal-types world. It turned out MUCH better than I initially envisioned my attempt to turn out. Lots of folks think he's huggable. :>

THE PHOENIX: My prime avatar since October of 2004. The wings can flap and fold when on the ground, the eyes blink, the beak opens when I SCREAM, and generally this is my "flagship" avatar for my bird series. That means it won't be sold. But the rest will be. ;>

Those are great Psyra, the raven is my favourite! I was hoping you'd do a gouldian finch (which I have 6 of at home in a massive aviary) before you were done doing birdies.
