A Delorean

Here's some pics of the Delorean I just finished. This is a plain stock model, I'm now working on the time machine half of this car.

She isn't for sale yet. Not until she can be driven around sl properly. This was a joy to build!

Well I don't have a store as of yet, I'm still building stuff and getting everything ready.

ahkenatan, coming along nicely! Thanks for showing it to me inworld too... sweeeeet. One lil' suggestion though I noticed: the surfaces of the Delorean look a little flat, and as I understand it, on the DMC-12, the brushed stainless steel gave it a sort of unique character as well. Are you going to play around some more with textures? Take care.

As for flying trains, another good idea: Reyo Neutra recently made one called the Lunatic Express.

good point Torley however I can't find a texture that captures it just right. The best look I've found so far is no texture believe it or not. I'm still looking though......

Ah yes the Flux capacitor. That part is being worked on. I have to make it seperate from the car because the prim count will be to high. The prims on the delorean are are 231 i think. I'll have that many just on the time machine parts alone. But I am working on it.

I saw ahkenatan working on this beast in a sandbox a few weeks ago. This thing is so hot, it burned itself into my screen. Very nice work.

I can get you detailed pictures of the train. I see it everyday I goto Universal Studios in Orlando.

I would like to work on the train but I'll need a time machine so I can zip WAY into the future to see if I can ever get the time to work on it! So many projects, so little time....

The scripting will be a while. Cubey Terra is working on that now. He was able to get my tow truck running which suprised the hell out of me. There are more bugs to work out and I have asked for special scripting on the Delorean, let's just say to do more Back to the Future type stuff.

Oh, good to hear, ahk -- when it's fully operational I figure I will utilize your Delorean to transverse not only time, but space, and visit my father Torley Sr. for a more prolonged amount of time in the cracks between the sims (perceived superficially as a vast canvas of water).

Well would you consider 2 versions, one to satisfy Back To The Future fans and one for...well...ME? I like the Delorean being a regular street car

I saw this sitting in a sandbox and nearly exploded. I'm so in love with the stainless steel dream. I don't want the BttF version, the DMC-12 is a beautiful thing on it's own and you've really done some fantastic work. I dunno how much you're gonna charge for that goddess of a vehicle, but i'll pay.

Also, when you get the Back to the Future version done, it would make a great addition to the Sci Fi Museum. If it's under 255 prims, we can use it. Let me know if you're interested.

I am planning on selling just the DMC-12 as well as the three different versions of the time machine. The stock DMC is almost done, just a few things to wrap up on it.

What price will it be? That IS the question. Stay tuned, this will take some thinking.

By the way Chosen, the stock DMC-12 has 231 prims. The time machine garb will be a seperate entity on it's own which will sit on the Delorean, not be linked permanently to it. No other way I could do it and keep the detail. The time machine garb will be about the same amount of prims 230-250.

Old, OLD thread I know. But was wondering if anything ever came of this? I've been looking high and low for a Delorean and this ones seems to be of higher quality than others.

Does ahkenatan sell this car now, does he have a store? I can't find one in game, its not in his picks, and the Good Old Days sim he mentioned here seems to be long gone.

Wow this brings back the memories. I don't have the good old days anymore. I'm making a whole new line of cars and I am going to buy land in another area to setup another store. However, if you send me an IM in world I'll set you up.
