And insofar as release date, I am SOOO close. Here's the remaining todo list...

1) Minor shading glitch at belly seem (just left of bellybutton).
2) Even more minor shading glitches at neck
3) Validate thumbnails are correct now (I hate the thumb mesh)
4) Redo eyebrows.... again.... *sighs heavily*
5) Redo eyelid shading... again... *sighs more heavily*
6) Start rolling out makeup options, one at a time, starting with red lipstick, red nails, and charcoal shadow.

At this point, I am down to such finicky little details that even my perfectionist self is getting annoyed that it's not released. Bottom line is I'm wearing it every day and it looks great (in my probably not impartial opinion). I've been careful to check it in all kinds of lighting conditions and in all kinds of poses to make sure no wierd ugly blurring happens (or at least to minimize that).

I think the right move at this point is to finish the 6 items above, then just put the skin out there. I'm sure I'll fix it over time but there's no law that says I can't send out free updates.

1) DONE
2) DONE
3) DONE
4) DONE and I LOVE THEM --- finally -- and they are tintable now
5) DONT and I mostly love them -- finally. The eyelids is the most likely area for a product update. Updates will be free to buyers.

OK, I have definitely gotten to the place where I wear this skin every day and love it. It would've gone on market on Sunday except for I went into a fit of redoes on eyebrows, eyelashes, and eyelid shading. But, it is done. The pale versions are uploaded. The Dark versions are almost ready. It shouldn't be hard to make a mid-range tan.

What I especially love is how the skin behaves in motion. It is sometimes eerily realistic. I almost wonder if I've gone too far with it and should tone down some of the details to make it fit into SL better. Still photos don't really do it justice.

for anyone who's intersted, I't put up a new hir-rez photo on my blog.

I'm stunned that this is a first attempt. It's absolutely gorgeous. :)

I think it's a fantastic looking skin so far! My only concern were the cheeks, they look VERY dark in that picture. Though that could just be the lighting of that particular pic, or perhaps just my personal tastes.

And this is a bit off topic, but the outfit you are wearing in that first pic; where did you get it? Or did you make that yourself? It's adorable!

*smiles* That'd be Madlax Stygian's generation 3 silks. To own them is to love them.
