meh, many on SL seem to be obsessed with portraying a character looking like they'd creatively want. sexy clothes big busts or butts tiny wastes. perfect skin and hair. i like seeing more avatars that express origionality and creativity, not a cleavage showing halter top, mini skirt and impossible primed out stelettos. I think for many people (including myself) being able to make the avatar look like we would like to look, is what makes them amazing I would love to look like my avatar, and why would I want to make it look like my plain jane RL self, when all I have to do to see that, is look in the mirror? I personally feel the avatar is a reflection of what is on the inside of many ppl in SL... myself for sure. |

What better than to make your avatar look how you want it rather than how reality is. Second Life isn't reality, and so often people think it is. People become their avatars, and other people become offended that people become avatars that are more gorgeous than anyone living.
I am not my avatar, but in a virtual setting I'd rather have it look like that than look how I look in real life. Well yeah, that's what i'm saying. people aim to look like super models or what they've been brainwashed to beleive is beautifull. I'm not saying it's wrong i'm just sayign i disagree with it, because it takes one extreme rarity and makes it the grueling norm. i like the refreshment of a different avatar because it's a break from the whole hormone frenzy that is second life. |

personally I feel that all avatars are unique, even if they are all what society (well the society I live in) deems beautiful
I like how my avatar looks, then again, my avatar has MANY different looks, I only posted one of those looks hehe I can be a goth one minute a princess the next then turn into a dog, a cat, even a baby dragon I doubt if some of them are hormone driven LOL never judge a book by it's cover  |
