Loki Pico taught me this trick:
With debug menu activated hit "ctrl shift r"

Now you can use wireframe screen shots to make strange art :-)

It's like the Second Life version of A-ha's "Take on Me" video. :)

Sinatra, how'd you do that? It looks so neat, like a classic Amiga graphic. Can I share this elsewhere?

Thx for pointing me here, nim!

Dang, when was this added? o.O

I've been looking for a wireframe mode for a while.

i made this one in 1.8 something altho the process was much more involved

set the camera up on a nice angle

edited all the objects

while still in edit mode, went into debug and turned off basicly every graphic option

which left a blue background and the wireframe of the biuld

finally went into gimp, which gave me the nice green phosprous glow, instead of the default pukey yellow and sissy blue

:)

Torley, hello,
Of course, of course :-)

nimrod, cool screen shots and thanks for the link!

Osgeld, nice, yea, it is easy to grab the desired pixels, I use photoshop, and then add cool filters and tricks to get "artsy" with these wireframes :-)

Now all we need is to be able to choose "math" mode to see measurements and we got ourselves some blueprints.

Autocad/SL here we come!

Snapshot-ing the same scene in both I blended the two together to see what the result looks like, what do you think?

Gorgeous works. Thanks, all.

It's a pleasant relief from seeing avatars that seem to have more make up on them than a battleship has paint.

The hits just keep coming! It's so juxtaposed in a way, because there's this kind of classic style, meshed with... cyber-wireframe! Like, I wonder what Klimt would have done? ;)

Wonderful work, Sinatra.

Cool stuff!

I love how your guy's limbs look all strung out, Sinatra. So much pathos.

WIREFRAME ROCKS.
