I've sent you an IM ingame about the file format, I noticed you don't have much of a profile, so if that's not an account you use ingame, feel free to either IM me on this character, or email me: Pattehph0x@gmail.com.

I'm not sure if anyone has asked this question but I just downloaded the latest release and found that there is no Export feature anymore. Was this supposed to happen and if so how do we now get our animations or poses get exported to sl?
Thanks!

Hi Marlon,
We tried to clean up the UI a little bit, and moved the export feature. If you select your SL avatar by clicking once on it, you should see export options on the right hand side of the screen. "Export animation" is what you want.

Hi Amaranthim,
Yes, there is a new version. We're actively trying to improve the tool, and we put out new versions regularly. However, I don't think we've resolved the graphics card related issues you're seeing yet. I'll let you know when we've figured them out. Thanks for being patient with us.

Aww I would love to use this program, but for some reason when I try to import my avatar nothing happens, a little white box appears for a short time then disappears. And when I try to create a generic character, the program crashes =(
I'm on a Mac btw.

Hi Suka, does any of the drawing work? Please try searching for "male" or "walk", and seeing if the program crashes.
Sorry for the trouble, - Sparkle

I have tried to use this application several times on my machine at work. As far as searching goes it is fine, but anything that has to do with an avatar it goes to the Windows error dialog box, and closes.
This computer is running Windows XP professional, and has a 64mb Intel 82845g factory videocard, Intel P4 2.66Ghz CPU, 512Mb RAM, no sound.
I use this application on my home system and it works fairly well. My home system is Vista x64 Home Premium, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66Ghz, 4Gb DDRam Dual channel, (2)Nvidia 7950GTX 512MB SLI videocards.
I can login to Animeeple with no problems, but it crashes everytime I try to access an avatar. When I search for an avatar, let's say male, the application crashes. If I search for animations it is fine, but then I can't apply the animations cause the avatars won't load. It doesn't matter if the avatars are SL or generic or downloads. Anything that has to do with accessing the avatars crashes the application.
Thanks, Peavey

YVW Sparkle, I hope this helps a bit. I find Animeeple very interesting, and usually find some time at work to work on animations.

Sounds very exciting. I'll take a look but I am eagerly awaiting being able to import the xml file rather than use my login details on a 3rd party site. I did try the character->character tests-> Appearance to XML but couldn't find the resulting XML file in my secondlife or release candidate folders. Did anyone else get this to work?
Also Sparkle, in a quick viewing of some of the tutorial files I noticed that the sound volume fluctuates quite dramatically, not only from tutorial to tutorial but within each video too.

Hi Prajna,
Thanks! I haven't tried the XML export from Second Life yet -- please let me know if you figure out where the file gets written to. I'm hoping to start working on importing those XML files soon (so much to do!) In the meantime, have you tried out the generic avatars?
Thanks for telling me about the volume fluctuations in the tutorials. I probably did something funny to the settings.

Strange... I tried to reply earlier and just received an error page saying that I was not authorised to access the new-reply page. I posted some more information about my experiences so far with trying the software over in your Google discussion group.

Hi Peav, I'm sorry, we haven't resolved the graphics card issue yet. We've had to figure out some other issues first. I'll let you know when I think we have a solution.

Hi Dimitrios, We'd be happy to take a look at any files you're having trouble with. You can reach us at contact (at) animeeple.com. There are two conditions that disable the OK button: (1) Animeeple requires that it knows which bones correspond to particular body segments. If there are missing segments, it lists them above the bone list when you import. (2) It can't resolve the symmetries in the skeleton. Any symmetries it can't resolve should also be listed above the bone list. Again, feel free to contact us! - Sparkle

I recently took a look into this and it looks like the files get written to the character folder you will find it in the SL folder that gets installed in program files or where ever you install SL to i guess. The XML file seems to hold all the shape, texture and hair stuff too so it should work for any imports. I just lack any tools to make use of such a thing but i hope somebody can.
