nope; gestures still arent being saved right as of tonight. Still borked and also any pre-exsisting ones that you try to edit and save become the jailhouse girlfriend too. I'm pissed. A few gestures I had are now royally screwed. :/ |

Add me to the list. I just today started trying to create new gestures...once their set active and appear on the gesture list, you can click on and it will not work, but will showing "Playing...".
Then re-editing it will show the action list has changed. The first entry will change from Start to Stop. I was able to consistently reproduce this behavior dozens of times, after shutting down and restarting SL. I'm glad I'm not the only having this problem, but I would be glader if it was fixed. Gestures are the "life" in Second Life. |

Same deal here. If I make a new gesture, or edit an existing one, once Im done, If I go back to edit it, all of the commands are either deleted or replaced with random stuff.
Start animation commands becomd stop animations commands, and animations names are replaced by just numbers. None of which correspond to any animations I have. I was wondering if it was just me. considering how important gestures are to SL in the first place, I cant believe theyve let this go for so long. |

Taught a Gesture Class
01-08-2007 08:40
I am so relieved to see that this is a bug. I have taught my build a dagger/build a gesture class several times, without any problems, and just the other night, nobody's gesture would work.
Hey, SL, please fix this. Thanks. |

Is it just me? Maybe it's just me. It would seem gestures...well...are not fixed!
Now...there's very few things 'bout Second Life I get excited over. ...and well...this would be one of them!! I...as stated in another topic...like to make gestures. Lots of gestures. I like to make them to amuse myself and to amuse others. Without gestures working correctly, my Second Life has very little meaning... >_> _____________________

Since the client update was postponed, I assume this fix was postponed too.

Crossposted from the Relevant Blog Entry:
... I was giving you, Linden Lab, my money... Week in... Week out... Uploading sounds to make Gestures. It was how I gave back. It was how I entertained myself and how I entertained others. In a lesser way, it was also how I MADE money. ...but you can't even fix THAT. It's been broken since before Christmas, Linden Lab. If it's not fixed soon...I may quit Second Life altogether. I am tired of your "oopsies". I am tired of you making more and more mistakes with every update. I am tired of you pushing back your bugfixes. I am tired...of your LIES. Okay? I...I don't think having working gestures is REALLY that much to ask for, do you? Really? I mean, L$10 may not seem like much, but keep in mind, I generally spent SEVERAL tens of Linden each time I made gestures because I like making gestures... Now what? Sure, there's still the social interaction. I can dig that. But...I enjoyed making gestures. That was my one big thing about Second Life. And others enjoyed my gestures, too... But since before Christmas, I can't even CHANGE my gestures without utterly DESTROYING them! Don't you think that's a little bit ridiculos, Linden Lab? Just a hair? ...I'm done ranting... I'm really, really angry and I don't want to say anything that might be considered "flaming" or "trolling", lest my message get deleted, shock and horror... _____________________
