I created a 90 frame animation. Initial frame 1 default keys in place. I have the 2nd frame keyed and setup. I copied frame 2 keys to the last frame in my animation. I spline break'd the 2nd frame keys. The I created a simple transition to the hip in frame 46 (midway or so). I moved the hip down as if the person is squating down some.
The end result is a stand TO somewhat squating and back TO stand position. It looks just right in Poser 6. When I upload this to SL for preview the whole characters body ends up transitioning rather than the hip independently. I tried creating keys for all the other body parts (since it originally was just the hip with the key on frame 46) in frame 46 but no help there.
I have created general poses with my Poser 6 setup already and they work just fine in SL. This is my first "animation" though. Any ideas what I am missing here?

Just your remark didn't show me what was wrong. And I couldn't also figure out what you're saying, "the whole characters body ends up transitioning rather than the hip independently". You mean its arms and head moved every which way? If you upload your animation, pz3 file here, I would be able to see what was wrong. You need to zip it before uploading here though. I'd like to see your original one, which was set just the hip with the key on frame 46.

Here is my Poser 6 SR-1 PZ3 file. I was able to extract this ZIP on both my Windows and Mac box so you shouldn't have any problems with it. Another thing I cannot figure out how to do is remove the spline break I made by accident on the last frame of my animation and have it return to a normal spline. I already tried the obvious but no luck.

Kurshie, I got your problem. See Xenon's explanatioin on this thread. Those legs are bent so slightly that their keys are optimized. About breaking spline, see this. Oh, I forgot to tell you this.... The breaking spline button toggles. Select the brekaing spline keys and press the button again so that you can remove those breking spline signs. If they remained, hold each part and check out each key.
