I'm posting this as a separate question because there seemed to be so much interest in the other thread. A few people (myself included) are looking for good belly dance animations... I have a couple of single movement ones made by Sunae Kojima, who apparently is no longer in SL.
I'd really be interested in getting a longer looped sequence using a few alternating moves. I'm sure there are others out there who would be willing to pay for an anim like this also. (Sunae made one, a full sequence, but I didn't think to buy it when it was available. I can't share the old ones I have with others because unfortunately they're no copy.)
Would any animators out there be interested in making something like this? I'd be happy to show the old anims I have to anyone who's willing to give it a shot and needs an idea of what I'm after. Thanks!

There is an -incredably- large market for this type of dance as well as ballet. I'm very surprised that some of our most talented animators are not jumping on this. There is, currently, about 20 or so people searching -very- hard for Belly Dancing animations. The casual shoppers I'm sure would eat it up then.

Hey all, Seagel very kindly posted a reply to my thread in the Products Wanted forum, saying he was willing to try making a new one... he just needs to see the old anims first. I'm currently trying to message everybody who posted in my first thread, so we can (hopefully) all have a look at the old ones and be on the same page, so to speak... stay tuned!

Seagel Neville finished a couple of these, and they look great... anybody who still wants them can get in touch with him, if they can't locate any others.

Was taking a look at these dances yesterday and I must say they look very good for the most part. The only thing I noticed watching a few people do them was that in one of the animations the left arm twists grotesquely out of place. Looks like someone forgot to rotate the joint when they moved the arm up..
Only other thing was the leg coming up that makes them look sort of silly. Not in a sexy or dancing way, sort of looks like they are loosing thier balance or something. The animations without the leg coming up look great tho and the one with the unrotated joint would look great if not for that one thing.
Overall tho its still with all the crititism some of the better work I've seen done. Thanks a lot for taking the time to make this for everyone. Its certainly better then most or all other belly dance type animations i've seen out there.

I really like these animations - they are great! I have another question though. Each animation is like a separate "move" in belly dance. How do I string them all together - perhaps into a new animation" so that it looks like a real actual dance routine, instead of me just standing there twirling my hand and circling my hips?

Just use a dance bracelet that holds multiple dances or something of the sort. Can load all the parts into it and it will string them together for you. Can set the sequence yourself or let it go random, set how long you spend on each animation, etc.

Hello Ravenmist, Thank you very much for your report. I should have confirmed those without clothes. I'll check and try to fix them. But I want to blame the leg coming up part on the original creator, Sunae. Hi Mao, Yes, as Ravenmist says, the dance bracelet is a good one. But it is the most easiest way that you take these animations in your Gesture file. You can arrange those turns in the sequnecer. Or you can make your gesture files with each animation and set function key as a shortcut. You must be able to swich them easiliy. Hmm... I'm making a belly dance controller. I tested it and found it work fine yesterday. You can switch your dances easiliy by the dialog pannel. Like a DJ? Dance Jockey? hehe but I need to make more dance animations... It will be released in a couple of days.

Awesome news Seagel! I can't wait to see the updated version. These are some great animations already. I'll be waiting eagerly to get my hands on a copy to pass out to the ladies I dance with. Heh.. I use them myself some but I just don't have the hips to make those dances look good. That controller sounds great too, can't wait to hear how things turn out. Thanks again!

Beau he did his as a freebie. Was really cool of him, in the thread he says who to contact for a free copy. Tho you can ask anyone that already has it. Sounds like he's going to do some more work on it tho, so looks like I'll be needing a new copy when that happens.

Hello Beau, or would I better call you Mr.P? It would be my honor to talk to you. I'm not an animation vender, and I don't have a shop. This is a long story but in brief. Ilianexsi who wanted some special belly dance animations posted here what her wanted. But nobody replied. I recommend she should post at Products Wanted fourm and she did. But nobody replied over a week. I felt responsibilty for that and decided to make them for her. I don't mean that I will plug any professional animation makers or venders. I hoped this thread would be passed over in silence if possible.

Looked in Cristiano's shops yesterday and was no sign of a belly dance btw.. you must be thinking of someone else or he doesn't have it on his vendors... Only belly dance vendor I found was someone trying to sell copies of this one so far, lol.
