(uncompressed) 64x64 texture needs (64*64)*(8*4) bit.
Surely you mean (64*64)*(8*3), since the alpha channel is not used by the sculpt.

But sculpred prims are compressed (gif-lossless)
Jpeg 2000 lossless, please. Not GIF.

Sorry to necropost, but as it turns out, the biggest animation at 30 FPS is a bit over 100K on upload.
Yeah, I was talking about the BVH files sitting on my hard drive. Clearly some data reduction is called for, but you seem to be finding (like we've all suspected) that there are far less invasive ways to reduce the data than what the client currently does on upload.
