Hi. I'm trying to make a walk using the Walk Designer in Poser 6. I'd like to slow down the pace of a walk a little bit and I'm wondering how I might do that. Can it be done from the walk designer itself? Or do I have to manipulate the animation after it's been applied to the figure?

What about "Retime Animation..."?

I tried this and instead of getting the animation smoothed out over twice the number of frames, it gave me large gaps with no movement in the middle of the animation.

Ah, you're right. Usually animations are automatically calculated "In between" frames but when you use Walk Designer, all frames are packed with keyframes. That would cause your trouble. hmm... I have to consider... If you could thin out keyframes' dots as much as possible...
BTW, have you tried Arito's advice where I linked thread?

[EDIT] When I tried that actually, it was not so bad. At least it didn't give me large gaps with no movement as you said. hmm... you made something wrong?

Walk Designer was 30 frame animation. So you will make 31 frames animation first because the first frame is the default standard. And you prepare 60 frames in advance. Then you should retime it as source frames 2 - 31 and the destination frames 2 - 60.

Can you not just change the fps in poser 6? That's how we do it in Poser Artist.. It's in the keyframe editor.. Look close to the bottom for a "key". Slow it down to say 20 fps..

It's called "Rate" on the Anaimation Palette in Poser6. Yay, it is easy though the rate is limitted. Thank you. :)

[EDIT]woops sorry, you can change the rate value manually. :)
