Now I wish to learn how to add handles for hands (the rig has foot handles only if I'm not wrong).

Any tips are welcome ^^

I'm assuming you are referring to the IK controls on the foot (if not disregard rest of post)

For hand IK, select "root_control" (the circle around the hip) and in the channel box change the Left IK Arm and Right IK Arm values from "off" to "on". IK handles for the hand and elbow swivel angle will appear.

The other thing that's missing is the neck FK - the rig would support it, so I wonder why that control was left off?

Ahh, but was it?

Moving "head_control" controls the neck, rotating "head_control" controls the head.

Thanks for this great script. I've been using it for doing some dance animations with Maya 2008 and it seems to work fine. Is there any way to modify the script so that when the IK arms are turned on via the root_control that they stay on untill turned off again? Right now you need to turn them on every time you change frames.

What do you mean you have to turn them on every time you change frames? It's worked fine for me in 8.5 and 2008. It is a keyable attribute. Make sure you don't have it keyed to off at the end of your animation or something.

I have poser 7 BUT.. I hate it.. the interface depresses me and I really really don't want to learn it.. Is maya better to use to make animations for SL? has any of you tried both and can compare?

I was experimenting on my own for rigging the mesh in Maya and these files make it easy :o Does anyone know how to get a male mesh to work with this ? I took a look at the outliner and it is not as I thought it would be setup for the mesh.
