if this is the proper 'continuation' thread from the security updates, i'd like to offer that my 'simple sim beacon' finally posted - here it is:

i forgot to note that the 'tz' variable means 'timezone'; you can enter your own offset so that time-of-occurance feedback'll adjust to your time. can be easier to figure out any outages that way... :) enjoy! (and use responsibly!! ;0)
