1) The Release Keys button is now in a different place and hovers just above the tool bar at the bottom of the screen. It makes me want to click it even though I know I shouldn't because it will take my stuff off. The same applies to the Mouselook button. I could do without seeing either of these buttons ever again; I have pressed them on purpose maybe twice. 2) The communicate window is cluttered with far too many little check boxes by each friend's name. 3) It bothers me that they changed the Chat History button to Local Chat. 4) The symbols have been changed at the top of the screen which stand for things such as 'No Script' or 'No Build' In my opinion these symbols are more confusing than the previous ones and are ugly. They are too tiny. (i do like the fact that they say what they mean in blue dialog boxes if you click on them though) 5) On the login page of the Windlight viewer, if you press preferences, half of the preferences window is available, and the other half is cut off at the bottom of the screen. If you log in fully, all of the preferences window is available. 6) Speaking of preferences, please put the preferences button back on the main login window. That extra click at the top takes 5 years off of my life every time I have to do it. 7) Why was it necessary to change the voice feature buttons in the viewer from speakers and other familiar icons to arrows? I don't like them. Why does every option for the arrow button to the right of the communicate button seem to do the same thing? 9) For some reason it appears as though there is a white line in some places in the water. It kind of looks like when someone does not line up prims with the same texture correctly and you can see the crease. This may just be me...but if it isn't .... *shakes fist* *10) and now my personal "favorite" ! Please do something about the ATI card support. I have an ATI 9700 PRO which is not cutting edge technology by any means, but I continuously seem to have a problem with the Vertex Buffer OpenGL stretching problem which makes horrible triangles appear all over my screen in certain situations. I have the latest drivers. Here are some things I found out about it... a. panning around with my camera controls makes this happen the most b. disabling OpenGL Buffer Vertex in the hardware settings stops the triangles c. I can run Windlight on Ultra IF I turn off the OpenGL Buffer Vertex (slower frames) d. Draw distance seems to affect the occurrence of triangles (higher draw = worse) If I set the graphics to Mid and customize some settings, I can leave the OpenGL vertex buffer on without stretching...so far... P.S. Nobody seems to like the graphic interface changes if you read the comments on the blog. I really do enjoy the water and sky graphics in Windlight though; please make it easier for me to use. Thanks.

I could do without seeing either of these buttons ever again; I have pressed them on purpose maybe twice. Agreed with that. We can do without both button, just put it in a harder to be clicked area! From: someone 4) The symbols have been changed at the top of the screen which stand for things such as 'No Script' or 'No Build' In my opinion these symbols are more confusing than the previous ones and are ugly. They are too tiny. (i do like the fact that they say what they mean in blue dialog boxes if you click on them though) well, but I like them. They look cute! From: someone 6) Speaking of preferences, please put the preferences button back on the main login window. That extra click at the top takes 5 years off of my life every time I have to do it. I don't see the point of it. The preferences 'should' be adjusted so it work best in default value. So anyone wanting to change it should actually intent to... And why would you want to change preference that often? From: someone Why does every option for the arrow button to the right of the communicate button seem to do the same thing? It doesn't, if you detach the various windows from the main communication window. From: someone P.S. Nobody seems to like the graphic interface changes if you read the comments on the blog. I really do enjoy the water and sky graphics in Windlight though; please make it easier for me to use. Thanks. Actually, I like them. Look much sleeker than the old bulky big buttons that waste far too much space. Can be better, but still better than before to me.

I was wondering why I kept suddenly losing all my huds(happened three times).I didn't even notice that button was there.

Thanks. 1.) Valid but has yet to bother me. I guess I read things more than most. 2.) Invalid, it would be cluttered with pictures instead, but they moved the Contacts and Groups tab to the top making more room. 3.) Valid, seems to be a pointless change... however there may have been some confusion of "History" holding IM logs as well, so possible they consider "Local History" and found the button to large so opted for the more cryptic "Local Chat". 4.) The new ones do not bother me, after a few moments I was able to adapt and know the land permissions at a glance again. 5 and 6.) I have yet to have any problem with the preferences window at all, I have been able to tweak everything I need to. Going up to the top does not bother me either. I do not have the PC game mentality about SL I guess. 7.) I don't see your issue here unless you mean to extend more options up? And in that case this is a standards notation from what I have seen. SL is not exclusive in this case. 8.) I do like the extending menu from the Communicate button! It allows me to switch easily to an IM tab that is scrolled off the window, I just have to adapt to it and use it more. The few times I used it last night it was very helpful as I was sending out tons of personal invites while hosting so some of them were scrolled off the window. Having that option let me switch directly to that IM session without having to scroll to it. 9 and 10.) Sorry to be rude but RC and WindLight are beta software! REPORT THE FUCKING BUGS! Sorry I am just tired of people complaining and not reporting them. NOW IS THE TIME BEFORE IT IS FULL RELEASE!

About 10. This IS "fucking reported"!!! Torley just CLOSED it, though, as RESOLVED-please go to http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-3258and tell him it's NOT resolved! Edit: Robot, you might want to VOTE on the above issue! Or (cheeky grin) do I actually SEE you already on the list?

You can't leave off the non-flashing IM tabs, thats beyond annoying. /333/4c/239635/1.htmlAnd dare I bring up once again, the huge, unresizable IM window is still huge and unresizable.

Oh my god, this is a pain in the butt. I listen to my iPod when I SL, so I don't hear dings. Last night three different people thought I was ignoring them because I didn't realize they had IMmed me due to the lack of flicker.

Yes, I voted for this issue and gave them detailed information about my computer's stats and graphics card before. I have reopened the JIRA issue, provided further information, left a comment, and voted again.

Thanks- I couldn't reopen it because I don't qualify as I don't use the newest drivers anyway....so OBVIOUSLY I still have this issue if I switch on VBO.... maybe I should vote again, too!

Actually, that's not true anymore. You can now detach Friend List to a separate window, which allow you to reduce the IM window size a great deal more!

I like the new interface changes, but I do agree with the icons at the top, that and the release-keys/IM button is definitely a bug, and really ought to be changed more significantly, I never liked having those buttons there anyway.

If you don't mind poking around in the program files of the C: drive and changing some code with a text editor, you can make the Mouselook/ReleaseKeys buttons go away.... From: Damanios Thetan
Go to: - Windows: [program files]\Second Life\skins\xui\en-us\panel_overlaybar.xml - Mac: [Applications]/Second Life/skins/xui/en-us/panel_overlaybar.xml (don't have a mac with SL installed right now, so could be different, file should be the same)
- Edit this file using text editor.
Look for:
<button bottom="1" follows="left|bottom" font="SansSerif" halign="center" height="20" label="Release Keys" label_selected="Release Keys" left="229" name="Release Keys" scale_image="true" tool_tip="A script has taken control of your keys. Click here to release them." width="102" />
- Remove the part - Save and start SL.
Button should be gone.
