Well - of course you make a good point. The way I see it though, The only way we can be free of the upcoming rounds of Linden Restrictions would be to leave SL .. since the inks already drying on the Integrity Contract. It seems to me the future hope for freedom in "The Metaverse" or W/e they are calling it this week is encouraging them to open source the servers. Hopefully those running open source servers have much lower visibility than Linden Lab and thus can give a higher level of freedom of expression. As for the errosions fo freedoms in real life ... which are the real source of this Second Life problem. We have to fight that battle there. |

Sorry, that was just me not taking the time to make up a new name, what with doing two complex-ish stories on the same day, I admit it, I have zero imagination Special mention to JH Gervasi too - I was totally excited when he 'discovered' Octal in the Ancient Book, I was following all the replies in realtime. I knew that clue would get it cracked pretty soon. I'm pretty sure Meade was already buried in writing his Octal Decoder and didn't see it though, because he posted his result just 4 minutes later. I love how you can see it all unravelling as the thread develops. Actually I'm loving how so many of you on these forums are so friendly and smart. Lets just say the World of Warcraft forums don't have the same feel as these do I play a Druid called Lorna Take Care, Lorna. |
