Hello all I’ve been a Gorean Kajiria for about 2 months now and I’m still struggling with learning all the serves etc. I am a slave girl there is no doubt about that but I’m starting too wonder if I should be a BDSM slave or keep being a Kajiria. My question is how did everyone find out what there calling was and if you are a Kajiria how did you remember all the information you have too, it's quite overwhelming. If anyone can offer any guidance or tips for me I’d be very grateful .

There is a Gorean market and residence at the SOMETHING region, perhaps someone can assist you there as well.

I would recommend going to Iaomai. It is a training school for both Gor and D/s and has been helpful for many people to find what suits them best.

From: Rhianna Larkham Hello all I’ve been a Gorean Kajiria for about 2 months now and I’m still struggling with learning all the serves etc. D/s (Dominance and submission) is more a series of lifestyle principles, revolving around the protective concepts of Cornerstones (Trust, Obedience, Loyalty, Respect), and SSC (Safe, Sane, Consensual) between partners with equal but different roles, where BDSM can be a practice of the D/s.....though not all D/s people will necessarily practice BDSM in depth. Gor is an RP not based in reality, but very well fleshed out, as say, the D&D community is, rooted in a male superiority theme. Your bestest bet is based on what you want to receive from your experience, is in looking at what satisfaction you wish, on what level, and no, do not post that stuff here. For your RP needs, talk OOC to other Goreans in your affiliation, sisters, for tips and techniques to assist your RP....and your enjoyment in practicing it. For D/s, and/or BDSM, seek one of the established schools, which will be free. People here that really want to teach and share will never charge you. Good luck in your search. ; )

Ya know, I began to learn to serve people back in late 2005, at first simple things, then more complex stuff... and make them feel good while I was at it, too. After a while, I found I liked it, and generally when I log in I'm serving 5 or 6 people at a time. Often for several hours in a row... I'd literally be helping people 24/7 if it were humanly possible. The trick is to make them all feel special, and take care of everybody no matter how small the issue. Oh, and if anyone wants anything when I am offline, I make sure they have a way to leave it on my task list for later. Kajira? No, nothing that simple! Land barony. Believe me, there's nothing quite like knowing you've got two dozen new issues awaiting you each day, requiring 2 to 4 hours of service. With absolutely, positively, utterly, no hope of escape. It's tough at first, but it builds character, and pretty soon you secretly enjoy your place in the grand scheme of things...

Without offense, you actually learned it as a child when you first instinctively grasped cause and effect...but it is really very true to say everyone is both dominant and submissive every day of their lives, and the principles you embrace will define you. Most just do not go into delicate places in the psyche or practice it with dangerous toys.

Thank you all for your help and tips, I had a look at Iaomai it seems like a good place too learn but i've had quite a few tell me that it caters too a more bdsm scene than Gor.
I like the gorean setting much more than the BDSM setting, there seems too be alot more involved in Gorean RP and not much in BDSM. I'd love too find a Sim where the people actually talk too you. I mean last night I was looking around a few Sims and this Man just turned round and said we should ban me before I had even said anything.
I found that very disconcerting.
I think mainly I seem too struggle with my study's as there seems too be not many people in the sim during 10am and 4pm SL time. I can only read and twiddle my thumbs for so long loll.
I think most places cater too USA timeframe. I'd love too find a place that is busy during SL daytime instead of the nighttime.
Wow that is very impressive Desmond, I hope too achieve that one day.

Would you like to be in a community with a lot of germans? And I personally know a very sweet british warrior *winks* He is very laidback, very funny. (yes he IS)
I'm not into Gor much myself, but I keep contact with some goreans. I hang out OOC with them. There are so many who play a role in Gor, where they act suspicous and grumpy or mean. OOC they are not. Think of them as actors. Don't take it personal.
I would be happy to slip into a veil and give you my comments on serving and what you can do better.

I done both. Gorean was interesting for awhile but got boring and I found I preferred D/s much more exp. bondage etc.
Just depends on what you like.

It sounds good Marianne, i would be very happy too meet people anyone really in my timezone. It is very hard too find anywhere that has English people in.
Well i can see what you mean Torrie, Gor can get a bit boring especially when you are on your own. That is why i'm trying too find a place that is busy during the day *sigh* it's alot harder than i thought it would be.

Rhianna - why did u choose Gor? Do you have any knowledge at all about Gor? You may want to explore it a little before u choose that route. Might help you also in finding the right Gor sim to "play" in.

Send me a IM tonight then *smiles*. I'm not sure when I will log in, but it's normally around 11 AM SLtime. I'm GMT + 1. Thinking about it, I can point you to this forum for Goreans: http://www.goreanforums.com/portal.phpA good place to ask for advice. Many active posters there who are europeans.

I've been in a Gorean Sim for about 2 months now so yes i have a little knowledge, i know how too act, my positions, some serves etc. I think my main problem is with serves i find it very hard too remember the steps and what the drinks/foods are. I also think the sim that i live in is going down, there seem too be alot of people leaving the place all of a sudden. So i think the sim might just close for good soon. I've turned on my messages, i'm sorry i forgot too set it on. Marianne i will definently IM you at 11am, thats about the time i come online too. I must be GMT+1 too then .

From: Rhianna Larkham Thank you all for your help and tips, I had a look at Iaomai it seems like a good place too learn but i've had quite a few tell me that it caters too a more bdsm scene than Gor. Iaomai does NOT engage in BDSM. It was created as a safe haven by its founder because she was appalled at the forced capture, rape, collar, kill, etc. stuff that goes on in some other SL Gorean sims. There may be individuals who practice BDSM privately after a kajira is personally collared, but that is between the two of them and TOTALLY agreed to. Iaomai is Gorean in backdrop with the Safe. Sane, Consentual D/s pinnings. As for all the new material to learn - I was involved in online Gor for over 12 years. I have read all the books except the last one, "Witness of Gor," several times through, taking notes, etc. So don't be discouraged after 2 months. Having said all that, Gor is not for everyone and with the exception of maybe a tiny handful of sims, is appalling here on SL. If you would like to talk inworld, I would be happy to accompany you to 3 different Gorean sims I am well acquainted with for you to get a "feel" for various types. (ALL safe, no forced ANYTHING!!)

If you want to move to a sim which is more in your time zone, try using search to locate Euro-centric Goreans. I just did 3 searches and found: Samira, an Italian Gorean sim Slave on Gor, a Group of German kajira/kajiru British Kajirae, a Group of ... like it says .

Thank you both for your help, i'll definently look up European Groups on Gor inworld and Czari, i'm very sorry if i offended you with my comment about Iaomai, i was just going on what i have heard and read in the forums here. Well i very much feel i would be better in a Gor seeting than BDSM, i'm not really sure how too explain it but i very much enjoy the atmosphere and the excitement in Gorean Sim's. I would very much like too meet up with you inworld Czari. I'll definently contact you inworld too talk .

uh, Rhianna...
(The group sighs resignedly. "She's on her grammar kick again".)
You write well, actually. But you are making one error consistently.
"Too" means "also", or expresses excess. (I want the cake. I want the pie, too. Ooh, I ate too much.)
"To" is a preposition, or a part of an infinitive. (I went to the slave auction. I want to be a kajira. I need to find a kind master to teach me the ropes.)
You are confusing the two words (Oh yes..."Two" means one thing plus another thing.)
The three "2's". To, too, two. Please use them correctly, so I can stop wincing.

Maybe Lindal should become a Gorean Mistress. Or get a male alt if that's required. She could be the Grammarian of Gor.
Kneel girl! Now, arise and go to that chalkboard and write, "I will not end a sentence with a preposition" three hundred times.
You - with the dangling participle. You disrespect me when you speak like that. aff with your silks. It's time for some "discipline".
Rhianna - I know nothing about Gor, but if I wanted to, the first person I would turn to would be Czari. We rib Gor quite a bit and she has never gotten on a high horse, over-reacted or done anything but show a good soul and a great sense of humor. She'll lead you in the right direction.

From: Trout Recreant You should have seen the crap I fixed when I proofread it the first time. No excuses! Perfection is our minimum standard here. You will... Aw, rats. I can't think of a suitable punishment. I guess I'll have to pass on that Grammarian of Gor job. (Although I have to admit, it would've made a great book title. Maybe we can sell it to John Norman's estate or something.)
