Hi. I have a lot of questions about Voice coming to SL. I was following another thread, but it was locked.

Im not sure whats left to say lol - Recap of 2 months of Voice threads ...

Some think Voice will be the end of the Secondlife we know , destroying the imersion and making it an inhospitable place for many of the current resisdents
- Over-reaction Im sure but some elements of this position will ring true I think.

Others say there nothing to worry about and Voicers and texters will all live together in Peace Love and harmony. No one will be suspicious of anyone - And what have you got to hide anyhow
- Overly Naive and ignores current attitudes about voice on the grid already. But of course Voice will be great for some so some optimism I suppose will ring true.

Then theres the likely reality - which is somewhere in the middle. Voice will be great for some, it will force some people away , others will avoid just voice areas, some will mix voicers and texters freely. Some will voice with freinds only, Others will voice with everyone. Griefers will enjoy voice, but so will a lot of other people who have good uses for it.


A lot are worried about the technical stuff - But -

Its not supposed to cuase lag - just use a little bandwith, like music (which youll probably have off if your voicing so you can understand people) - so it shoudlnt hurt your SL performance much.
