Give me a break... First of all knowbody is going to give warning when doing a grid attack or any other attack. Second of all, SL logs and tracks all IP, hash and I am sure alot of other things to track every single person who logs onto SL. So if some script kiddies and yes I said script kiddies are running around beating on their chest because they hit Puberty and spotted a hair and found a really cool script on planetsourcecode and now think they can use it on SL by tweaking a few lines and also want to give advance notice.... GO FOR IT! I hope they like nice small cells with big guys who like little boys. LMAO

I guess if you have build off it helps prevent this kind of thing. I saw a few messages about it, i`m sure it brings them joy...People talking about them and their "tools" is what they aim for. Sad but something they can be proud of. lol Poor things

Our little SL world has been relatively free of message-born spams and exploits, like in the early days of the internet. As someone whose day job involves constant upkeep of spam filters for an ISP, I fear the storms that will come! I wish the Lindens best of luck fighting it, whew.

Unfortunately, this was not a hoax. Fortunately, while it often seems that the Lindens do nothing about griefers or that they don't care about our inconvenience or the quality of the Second Life experience, my personal experience is that they do care, and they work very very hard and very competently behind the scenes to make sure that groups like this can't ruin that experience for everyone else.

I am sure they are doing everything they can to handle both the attack and the perpetrators, and my confidence in them at this point is very high.

I haven't seen any evidence of any kind of attack, where are you seeing this?

I am really not well versed in the Virtual World. What exactly do these supposed groups get out of these alleged attacks. Just for laughs? Seems awfully juvenile to me. (I may have just answered my question)

I guess so..I have been reading abit about it on some Wikis. Seems an awful ot of trouble to go through just to annoy people. But then again RL is full of the same type of people, so why should this be any different. *sighs*

I think it's a case of measuring e-penises. They like to boast about what they can do. What's really funny about the whole nonsense is that they all wait for someone else to create the script, which is why there's a few commonly used griefer tools. They're waving their parts around, only it's someone elses member they hold in their hands

But hey, this is the net. There's always bigger fish out there waiting for a tasty snack. These types usually run into trouble eventually.
The last major DDOS I witnessed, the attacker was sent some pictures of his father, his girlfriend, his home address, phone number and the name of his school, with the implication that this info would be made very public if he continued. He stopped the attack pretty quickly after that.

Theres one pretty much constant thing about men I've talked to on the internet.

Nearly every one who has mentioned his penis (and thats the majority), has told me he was 8 inches long. Most Far before any such conversation was warranted. And I never asked.

I always figured that was their E-Penis (Exagerated)
BUT that must be their I-penis (imaginary)

Except that these guys living in their mom's basement probably dont have any other company than what the quoted poster mentioned.

So far the "Nigras" have failed in thier "mission" though. As far as I've heard they didn't crash any Sims...they did slow some down though. Hopefully this Inventory thing won't be permanent losses >:/

I have been PMing him for the last 2 hours, he says they were able to lag the first spots they hit...all of the accounts were just created today that he got close enough to check Profiles. Makes sense.

There were some serious slowdowns earlier in 3 different sims I was in. =/
