Hi,
Coco asked some really good questions in this post:
/139/11/146403/1.html
and it seems to have fallen by the wayside. I, too, would like to know what the criteria was for advanced notification of the island price increase; I can't seem to find a pattern to it, and am curious what the methodology was that determined who was informed, and who wasn't.
Thanks!
Taco Rubio

Hi Taco/Cocoanut/Joshua and others....
These are valid concerns. I am sorry that I am unable to answer each one individually. However, I will forward this on to the appropriate parties at Linden Lab and try to get a response for you all here.

"It's pretty clear that we goofed up big time on this one. We will contact you privately to apologise and try to calm you down, but it will be a while as we are hoping you will forget about it. We are trying as hard as we can to keep this out of the public eye and not let anyone else know the details because we need to mitigate the damage done to our reputation by yet another policy faux pas on our part."
Sometimes a public apology does a world of good, even for a corporation.

I'd be interested to know if anyone has ever been contacted by a Linden or got an answer out of them after one of these boilerplate responses from Torley or Jesse.
I know I haven't. Ever.
