Some large customers (all of whom are long-time landowners or creators in Second Life, not 'corporations shyly probing Second Life') were given the courtesy of information for planning purposes only. In no case will we fill any order that was made, or categorically complete any transfer that was requested during the time between the email and the general announcement."
I understand this means that LL isn't going to allow anyone to buy an island from LL who requested one after the e-mail went out and before Wednesday when the 150 islands are offered for sale at the old price.
A couple of questions:
First, and most importantly, why do only certain people get the courtesy of information for planning purposes?
WHY?
Don't we all need to plan?
Secondly, weren't these same people also able to - if not buy islands directly from LL - able to quickly buy islands from other residents?
Insider information includes advance knowledge of changes that will affect decisions one makes for one's business.
How is it that certain individuals qualify for this but others don't?
Just exactly who were the people who were privileged with this information ahead of time?
