Network Issues Affecting the Grid

[1:47PM PST] We’re experiencing problems with the network, which is in turn affecting log-ins and some regions on the Second Life Grid. Our operations team knows what the problem is and is working on fixing it as quickly as possible. If you’re unable to log-in, please try another location.

I noticed severe performance issues since the maintenance, and today has been challenging at best. Now, I cannot log in at all, getting the infamous "clock" message or "best efforts" message. Meanwhile, SL is showing 19k online, down from 31k less than half an hour ago. Robin Linden does have a notice on the blog about this: "[1:47PM PST] We’re experiencing problems with the network, which is in turn affecting log-ins and some regions on the Second Life Grid. SL/Linden Labs... you may need to wake up.. people are pissed, tired of the poor service, loosing inventory, search doesn't even update land for sale .. i purchased two pieces of land, one yesterday and one this am, niether one of them shows up in my land...help told me it shows on their side but things are updating slow... slow is the understatement!!!
i have crashed so many times in the past hour i may need to call my insurance agent to see if they cover this kind of damage... LMAO!!! BTW...Anna Nicole was probably knocked up by her drug dealer.. has been reported that she was abusing drugs while she was pregnant.. that is so low and so very sick.. |

So damn sick of this!!! Such horrible leadership and management. Soon enough Google is gonna blow this game into high Heaven! Just wait n see....then well have a game we can really play. I have watched and waited paitently for this game to get better. but since i started just a mere 6 mos ago, the game has only gotten progressively worse! And Lindens have had every chance to fix it. If they wouldnt have brown nosed the investors and turned down Googles offer of billions to buy the game outright, we'd all be rocking n rolling by now!!! Sorry but I pay for this?????? WE pay for this?????? Peeps are loosing money by the shitload and inventory loss is at an all time high. Can't tp, cant get dressed, cant move, cant cant cant Ok i feel a tad bit better now.... Any thoughts????? Chime right in ..... I couldn't have said it better myself. |

 told ya so.....its all about them seeing all the money that Second Lifers are wasting on this game which keeps crashing, breaking, lagging, dropping, all of the evil things we hate about it. Although we still come back cause we are loyal and love this place. Its starting to take its toll on whether or not I wanna get another annual just to deal with this. So inflate the egos LL watch to see all the money we are tossing your way and laugh at us as we sit here twidling our thumbs and you roll in the dough. I hope your going to be happy when no one recommends SL and wants to remove their account as premium. You took away the 500 a week brought it to 400.....you took away first land and now we need to pay like 8K for 117prims on a 512plot. You make all the perks of owning a premium look like crap now. Whats next? |

Obviously, they don't give a "F" about anyone but themselves or we wouldn't be here chattting right this minute, wondering what the "F" is going on..... Citation please? Maybe its an urban legend? or a virtual legend in this case. Large corporations that dwarf Second Life are bought for less money than this. During a merger at a place I worked they spun off an entire telecomunications satelite business for only 3 billion. And that business had huge government contracts to cover the amount. *googles to see how much google is even worth* Revenue $10.604 Billion USD (2006) Net income $3.077 Billion USD (2006) wow thats quite a bit. Of course they bought You Tube for only 1.65 billion. With three million accounts the average price spent per account to Linden labs would have to be about 1700$ to make up for them skipping that deal. |

The concurrent users are climbing on my login page, yet I cannot log in yet. Perhaps they are doing a rolling restart of the grid and some regions are not yet available. Anyone else seeing this rise in users online?
P.S. Who won last year's mother of the year award? Was it Anna Nicole Smith or Britney Spears?  UPDATE! Error message: Cannot log in to simulator. |
