It should do fine running SL. You can get faster video cards but as I said above, your cpu/processor is more important to the frame rate speed of SL. That combined with adequate RAM, a minimum of 1 gigabyte to me. Only geeky types like me would buy a faster card, seriously

From: Steve Mahfouz ...and yes, I know, SL doesn't need multi cores... I think that changed not-too-long-ago. The viewer will offload texture decoding to a separate processor if you have one. Maybe other stuff, too.

Ever since I swaped my HD for a 10,000 rpm SATA, SL runs like a charm. Heck; I can run 2 clients side by side flawlessly and that's with a crappy nvidia 256mb GPU. I spent some coin on the board and processor though back when the HT's were all the rave. Fact is it still outperforms many of my friends newer machines. Then again, everything seems to run better in Linux
