As we are getting closer to the full blow....sorry, the implementation of that adult policy that is supposed to protect us all from ourselves I hereby request an ADULT ONLY FORUM.
That has to be 1:1 the same in terms of topics if not extended as the current one to be able to continue to discuss all current and future issues, topics, questions etc.
Reasons:
Responsible behaviour.
I don't want to discuss adult subjects with minors of age or behaviour.
I can not be sure that my opinions may offend anyone PG.
I dont want to be offended by opinions of minors of age or behaviour.
So please LL, open a new forum targeted for the new and growing Adult only population in SL! So sooner so better.

You know, I wonder how many people would have been angry if LL had just said, "We're going to create an Adult Content only continent, make all the adult content move over to it, but, we're not going to require anyone to verify to visit it." _____________________

I really don't even think the verification is the sticking point beyond the initial pushback. It's LL being so disingenuous as to why they are doing it, how they can't even decide on what adult content is, how they are doubletalking people about the move itself, from "You will just submit a ticket to move" to "We will decide who gets to move" and "land speculating " isn't illegal, to Blondin telling people to just play word games with your ads or lie about what content you have and "probably" no one will bother you. If they had been fortright and upfront from the beginning about this, and had a clear plan, many would grumble, a few would leave, but most would make the best of it. _____________________

So I don't want to offend or be offended by anyone "PG" in age or mentality in the forums here. The image that LL will put out to the world will be G rated. This includes forums and any other website with their logo. Banned words and images will be censored out [I'll miss Boy's artfully done avatar].
To effect that, I am sure that these forums will disappear and be replaced by ones manageable through automated censorship tools. As others have pointed out, there really is no forum moderation because LL knows all this will go away, so why put any more effort into them? Because past and current posts contain adult material, they will probably be relegated to the LL adult waste heap - maybe in a small corner of Ursula? Boy is absolutely correct in asking for an adult/mature forum in which adult themes can be discussed. Free from censorship as well? |
