Is this harassment?

I can't believe people are actually this sensitive. I actually got attacked by my neighbor on my own land. She was on a horse and had some white light beaming on me from her hoist. Then green light around me. I just teleported in, so it caught me by surprised. I tried to walk away from it, but she kept coming closer. So, I had no other choice but to set her horse on fire and send them packing. Haven't seen her since, so I guess it wasn't as funny as she has thought it would be. Now I have a few security systems and access list.

And you talk about harrassment? No offense, but pull your skirt down please. You haven't seen harrassment if you think someone saying you smell is harrassment.

I agree people you meet in SL are way too sensitive sometimes. I was griefed oncein a sandbox by those Batman loud and annoying followers, then the person who owned them used some sort of animation that attaches themselves to your head, and says something that is NSFW. I just tp'ed away. In retrospect I should have just turned my speakers off and cammed over and started building. If you make a scene or whatever you give the person what they want. I mean anyone who grew up with brothers should know this

Then you have way too sensitive SL people. I was with one of my friends in a non-themed sim, just out in the open away from everyone. He decided to play what in his inventory bounces off Maja's lightsabers when he shoots it at her. So we were enjoying ourselves, which I last I heard was not against the rules as long as it does not specifically forbid it in the rules. When this person comes up and says "put your weapons away or I will AR the both of you for greifing" I said to her. "We are sorry, we didnt know you owned this land and did not allow this." She said "I dont own this land I just dont like griefers." Now I dont think people having fun and not bothering anyone except each other as fun in an open empty sim are griefers. We just tped away to avoid a situation.

Another time I had just met this french guy and I am giving him in a ride around the sims around Abbots as a tour in my Autogyro. We are communicateing through babelfish he says as he does not understand english or german and I do not understand french so he is pasting and translating our convo in babelfish. Well after a long tour, he says"I have enjoyed this" whch I take to mean "please land I wish to get off this whirlybird" I am passing throguh this sim, I see a small concrete square with a circle on top that is perfect to land on. Mini-map says we are the only 2 in this sim ,after we land I tell him glad you enjoyed and give him my card so we can keep in touch and some newbie friendly landmarks and $5L. He thanks me again says he will go see whats at Yadnis and TPs. I open my map to see exactly where I am and decide where I wish to go next. I close the map just as someone walks up and I am like 1 second from taking off. "Hi, back so soon?" I say thinking its my french friend."Get off my house" comes the answer from some weird guy. "oh sorry I am going just now" I reply. He says "Get off my land now or I will report you and get you kicked of SL for good!" I dont know, I let that annoy me, so I say"hold on I have to start my plane" He says "I dont care get out and TP away, and I wish I could delete your plane!!!" anyways. I leave, like I would have done a few minutes before if he had not come up shouting at me, I mean in real I would never land on someones house, even if there is a helipad on the roof, but I mean here it is not like it hurts anything.

I know Weedy very well and I'm pretty sure she wasn't seriously offended. I suspect she was merely showing the world the juvenile maturity level of at least one of the bot owners here in SL.

She and her horse was dealt with and removed from my property. I believe the horse was a person she was riding. Guess she was watching too many Caesar movies.

While I got a good laugh out of your burning horse story, (and another one when you mention that it was actually a person that looked like a horse, lmao) how do you know your neighbor wasn't just being playful with you? Did she try jousting you or something?

There is a difference between random harassment and concerted vendetta campaigns. The latter can be quite a bit more damaging and unpleasant. It isn't fair, really.

I don't even know my neighbor. She added me to a group and I declined because I didn't know who it was from. Saw her outside her house and went on her land and apologized about that. Let her know I didn't know who it was from. That was the only time I said anything to her. 2 months later, she standing at my property line on a white horse with a joist pointing at me with a white beaming light hitting me. I walked away and she came toward me and entered my property. Then inside the white light, I was surrounded by green light. She never said a word. I thought that was a little disrespectful, so there was barbeque horse and she got a beat down and sent packing. She was just outside of my security system, so I had to upgrade.

Being playful is one thing, but disturbing a stranger on his own property and not saying anything while you do it is different. I took it easy on her this time. Next time, won't be so delightful.

well. I'm not going to report anyone for harrassment. There are ways to block that, so I deal with it accordingly. No use of playing the game is you got to be that sensitive. There are people from all over the world and some people's sense of humor is more twisted than others. If you don't like what's going on, tp out and if they bring it on your land, handle your business :).

Where I come from writing someone smells is a term of endearment.
