I have a Macbook Pro 17 inch 2 gig of ram and I find that SL runs better on the Mac OS 10.4 and 10.5.1 then it does in the parallels virtual machine running Win XP or Win Vista.
Just my experience I have had great luck with the MAC.

Hmm, maybe I have the battery recall and the power jack problem mixed up; they may be two different things. Winter, did the power jack in your DV7000 look kind of like a headphone plug?

Winter, did the power jack in your DV7000 look kind of like a headphone plug? The two issues are seperate. The battery thingy was just another design fiasco that HP had whipped up. They lost the class action suit on that one. The power jack looks like a power jack. Its a hole in the side of your laptop that the power cord plugs in to. The jack issue was a problem on the ZD series especially, since these 'desktop' replacements are running full size chips and not 'mobile' setups and therefor tend to run quite hot. Knowing this as your designing a laptop, wouldnt common sense dictate that you DONT glue your power jack to the hot main board???
