Bought some land last month, and of course I expect to pay tier on it. However, as the due date approached, I realized I wasn't sure exactly how to pay. I didn't do anything, and my paypal was billed the appropriate amount. My question is, is direct paypal bill the only way to do it? I am not sure if these options are possible:
- LLabs debits my L$ account as per then-current L$ exchange rate? (I usually have more than enough to pay tier)
- I sell some L$, filling my USD account, which LLabs debits automatically?
- I prefill my paypal account with US$ and take advantage of paypal interest?
What would be the best way to pay tier? Or is there yet another ingenious way to do it? How do others do it? Or does LLabs only bill direct to paypal?

Paypal pay interest? Well, I am not certain, but it is implied by this post: /130/9e/101860/1.html which says: Suppose you own an entire sim. Monthly tier $195. If you send the Lindens $195 each month for a year, it will cost you 12*195 = $2340. However, if you deposit $2292.30 in a paypal account, and let the Lindens withdraw $195 each month, at the current Paypal APR of 4.52% you will have exactly enough for the Lindens to withdraw $195 each month for a year. You will save $47.70. Sounds like interest to me! |
