Hmmm. A werewolf is a human who turns into a wolf on the full moon, so wouldn't it be the other way around? An animal which turns into a human on the full moon?

A werehuman is a word that goes under my little avatar picture. It refers to a wolf (or dog) that ocassionally takes human form. I started using it for the benefit of my canine acquaintances so they would't think I had completely crossed over.

[Edit: I believe the moon is going to be full tonight]

It would, to me, be the furry version of lycanthropy. Normally a well-mannered furry, such as an anthro wolf or fox. But under certain conditions, becomes a wild and unruly Human?

Just to throw a bit of pedantry in here, the element "were" in werewolf doesn't mean "changes from one thing into another", it means "man". To quote from the American Heritage dictionary as cited here: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/werewolf -

The wer- or were- in wer(e)wulf means "man"; it is related to Latin vir with the same meaning, the source of virile and virility. Both the Germanic and the Latin words derive from Indo-European *wīro-, "man."

So I guess that means that a "werehuman" would be a "man-human", or a human that turns into a man. :-)
