Searching for a good "walk"

I been looking for a "walk". My current gait is quick and jerky and looks like I've got a stick up my "you-know-where", if you catch my drift!

Are there any places to buy a decent walk? Does it come in a combination of other
"gestures"?

Thanks!

There are several freebie 'walk replacers' out there, they only replace your walk. You could also go for an 'animation override' (or 'ao'), they typically have a walk, different standing poses, sometimes also a more stylish jump, fly, hover etc.

Another way to go is to pick up a free ZHAO (kind of animation override HUD) and fill that with your own or freebie walk and poses. there is an AO tutorial center out there that was recently opened, let me look around if I can find that for you. Brb!

[edit] I looked around, but can't find that tutorial center anymore. maybe it went belly up already... [/edit]

Yeah, first you'll need an animation override, or we call em "AO"s for short.

That will hold your animations and you wear it. You can replace em as time goes on, and you find more animations you like. You can get a free animation override at YaDNi's Freebie Junkyard. It will be on the (I think) West wall., the wall w/ the stage on it.

After you get your AO, you can buy some animations to replace almost any standard SL animation for your av...the two top shops for animations are:

Anomations

and

Abranimations
(the one that says Abranimations on Devil's Moon has the most but since it's usually full, it's usually "lag city", heh)

EDIT- LOL..I took so long to type that I said pretty much the same as Suzy...thought I was the 1st to answer:p

Somewhere I picked up a freebie AO called 'Linden Lifestyles' that has a good walk and some nice standing poses for women... It's what I wear usually. I tried bunches of freebie ones before that and settled on this one after looking through them.

The other option is to customize your own AO. Natalia Zelmanov has a tutorial for it on her blog: slnatalia.blogspot.com which may also be an option... Custom made ones are normally more flexible...

Personally I retooled my Linden Lifestyles with some other custom pieces so I have more options... I'm even working on adding a menu system (that listens on one of the high end channels), so I can have it do animations for all sorts of things...

If you are like me, and just rather buy  , I suggest going to Huddles and Abraminations for AO's, if you can't find a freebie you like.

Right??

Those freebie stands are so bad you'll wanna change 'em pretty much right away, unless you wanna look like a wind-up ballerina in a snowball...

The cheapest stands at Abranimations are what, L$30 or somethin...but I would suggest to just buy a few L$ in USD...cause once you start shoppin for the animations, you'll be like a kid in a candystore. When I first started usin an AO I had my "action figure" flipping through windows and crawling on the floor to try and get under obstaces, LOL

One thing to remember is, the more animations you put in, the more memory the AO will use. When you walk by a loaded-down av who has 2 scripted weapons, a shield, an AO and other scripts running, you'll usually notice a lil "jolt" of lag (sometimes *not* so little!)

Lost Dog also had an AO and the freebie Zhao AO

Risque in Pirates Cove has a bunch of great animations to load up your own AO. Some are free and others cost money. (back left corner of store)

The ZHAO AO is great. I've been using a set of anims from Reverie, which has a very nice sexy walk that isn't too over-the-top. I like it so much I haven't bothered to look at other walks in quite awhile. :)

Digital Dragon and Torrid have nice ones as well...my AO is a combination of those two, plus the previously mentioned Abranimations.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I am already a long time searching for a decent male walk. Just a normal walk, not macho, no arms flapping, just a normal guy walk. I didn't find it at Abranimations. Any other shops or freebie areas to go to?

I haven't looked for male walks, so I can't say what's out there, but you might look at 5ifth Order or Animation Warehouse also.

Try the "Sexy Walk" from Abranimations. It's very low price, it looks realistic, and it's easy to set up. :)

*peer pressure*

*Xio flips up the collar on his jacket, swaggers over, & leans on the wall whispering*:

"Aww, come on Tiziana...*everybody's* doing it...you wanna be 'cool' don't ya? Just buy a few...come 'Tizi', be cooooooooooool..."

heh

my favorites ... abranimations, lost dog, vista & dragonfly.

they all offer full AO sets as well as single animations to make your own set.

Try the Animation Warehouse. That's kind of a plug for my male AO, since I have vend space there, but the point is you'll get a selection of animations from different animators all in one place.

I love my AO. It comes from Exotica! The gate isn't too fast, too slow, too provocative yet it is a bit sexy. It's a girlie kinda of AO. ;)

Outrider ...

<returns to being cool>

Oh yes ... Bits and Bobs have one girl's walk that made me scream with laughter. I raelly don't suit the 'simpering girly' teetering along ... maybe my av looks like she would ... all the better to lull a false sense of security <WEG>

naw you're safe - too busy keeping cool ... lol

I like the anims from Happy Dispatch for males.
And if you want quality anims for females try Kinetica.
Both to be found in the Animation Warehouse.

I use Reverie and Luth Brodie stands/AOs, with Torrid's sexy walk.

I'm yet to find an AO I'm completely happy with. But I found one I'm mostly happy with and tweaked it. It's by Ed Bishoumen and has a really nice hover. Got rid of most of the stances and replaced the walk.

As for walks, I seached long and hard to find the one I use, a kind of serene hands-behind-back stroll. I only managed to find one example of anything like it, it's by secondframe and is called Morpheus Walk.

Ditto. Mine came in the form of a belly ring and in addition to the walk you do a backward somersault when you jump and a side split when you crouch and it comes with sit and hover poses as well. Fun stuff.

I'd just go the animation island or whatever it's called. I think it has most of the large animation stores. Although there are probably a few that aren't there.

Hey this is an old thread from page 39! Oh well people just keep asking the same things here.
