Forging passports is nowhere NEAR as easy as "I got the information, I can make a passport" any more. case in point: all one needs is a ssn. they can take that and use anyones name, and create a whole new identity,open bank accounts, aqquire credit cards, even get a valid passport. so water marks are not an issue.

Wow... that seems to me to be an incredibly flawed system, then. I'm not American, so I was going off of how we do it here. You seriously can create a whole new identity that easily off of just a 9-digit number? That's insane!
