Help Radio on Orientation Island is still promoting First Land for residents who go premium. The advertisement comes on regularly and is presented by Katherine Linden.
I know about it, and now you know about it...when will Linden Labs know about it. =)

You should go in world and tell them in the Help Request session. Also, an email would be a good idea. That is false advertisement, but they prob forgot about it.

From: Infrared Wind Help Radio on Orientation Island is still promoting First Land for residents who go premium. Further evidence that LL does not have adequate resources to keep things going smoothly. LL's slack is an opportunity for other companies (like Sony, see thread) to get into this space and provide better customer support...

You should talk to people who play games as Everquest or Star War Galaxies. Morwen.

I'll give LL a little slack because frankly, I love Second Life...the whole concept behind it. BUT...this slip (running old audio) is indicative of the bigger mistake which was the haste at which Linden Labs revoked the First Land program. There are many, myself included, who are studying the in-and-out's of Second Life and are considering making a larger commitment to it, such as a premium account and buying land. First Land was one of the options to consider. Linden Labs could/should have given at least 90 days notice of this change in policy which for many residents was a major and singularly significant change. The outdated radio spot is just a small indication that the new policy implementation was not well planned. Hopefully the Labs will learn from this. I fully support Linden Labs and hope they can learn from us, their life and blood. From: Rockwell Ginsberg Further evidence that LL does not have adequate resources to keep things going smoothly. -Infrared Oh for the love of pete, is that also your attitude toward bug reports? No it's not your job, so don't spend time following up with them about this, but it's only sensible to spend a minute sending them a report about this. Remember, what's great about SL is how its community has built it up, so do your part. As Gaybot pointed out, they probably just forgot.

I do bug reports. This is not a bug. Some reason you aren't reporting it? From: Johan Durant Oh for the love of pete, is that also your attitude toward bug reports? From: someone Some reason you aren't reporting it? Where would one report it such that it would actually get noticed? I hear that support@secondlife.com is uncommonly responsive.

From: someone Put it on a thread about gors or furries those seem to get locked real fast and sent to Linden Review. I think you may have a misimpression of what "Linden Review" actually means. I always thought it meant "rubber stamp the resmods decision" but that's probably just me. From: someone Does that mean they are answering queries in less than 2 weeks now? "Uncommon" has so many meanings...

I always figured those were the threads the mods earmarked so the the Lindens could read, laugh about - and ignore anything useful in them.

Thread-lock bait: Torley is part of a sinister global watermelon conspiracy! We demand answers! PS, now that I have your attention Mr. Linden Review, as of less than a month ago the Help or Orientation islands were still promising L$400 weekly stipend. That needs fixing too.

[12:44] Gaybot Foxley: Hi, I have been getting reports that Help Radio on Orientation Island is still promoting First Land for residents who go premium and that the advertisement comes on regularly and is presented by Katherine Linden. I just thought I should tell someone about this so it isn't viewed as false advertising. [12:49] Linden: Hi, thanks for the heads up [12:49] Gaybot Foxley: No problem [12:49] Second Life: Linden has left this session.
Ahhh, quick and painless. I'm sure they'll deal with it shortly.
