E, it's such an understatement to say your store has come a long way. I liked the old one--I still remember your logo on that wooden floor texture--but your current shop is amazing.

It's roomy and I like how everything is so unified in YOUR style, from the carpet & walls to the adboards. Speaking of the adboards, the photos on them are excellent and covey your sense of style. Just like Ama's shop, your store conveys an abundance of style and professionalism.

If anyone would like to go take a look round at mine, there have been a lot of changes (altho I will admit it is looking a bit cluttered with so much coming up and holiday decorations). (Mainstore is in my picks). And now that I am on a computer that I can actually go places in SL again, I will check out your shops as well, sounds like there have been some changes :)

@E - Speaking of store layouts, I was at your store maybe a month ago and LOVED the layout as well. Did you (or someone you know) build that or did you purchase it?

The reason I'm asking is that while perusing prefab shop buildings on Xstreet, one night I saw a shop that had the "wall-type" set up your shop has but I stupidly didnt bookmark it and have now spent literally hours going through hundreds of pages on Xstreet trying to find that prefab again.

Not sure it would work as well for home furnishings as it does for fashion, but I at least wanted to go see it.

I agree with Amar on how far you've come with your product line, shop, etc.

It was a custom build by Free Xue :) look her up she does awesome work VERY cheaply. She is great at thinking out of the box in the ability to offer wall space on a relatively small plot, she also has some seriously cool style.

Aww thanks :) I am still amazed at how far i have come some days heheh

We pulled out my first top the other day and help it up against my new stuff. Although my first stuff wasnt 'bad' it is funny how much the quality and style has changed

Thank you Miles for the review. The building itself I purchased prefab from a fantastic store that just does excellent work from small shops to huge palatial buildings- I will have to look up their name in world to share it- they definitely deserve it. And thanks for heads up re the TP landing point.. i have it set there as a nod to the MM groups that want - rightly so - the landing point somewhere in the vicinity of the actual board. I do also need to redo the garden somewhat, so perhaps when that is a bit more filled out I can inch my landing point closer to the entrance? The upstairs has gone thru a period of clutter - I am just trying to make it look reasonable and i keep unpacking things bit by bit.

So no on the curtains huh? I had tried for a bit of separation - but perhaps can accomplish with just the columns? I will consider their removal- less prims in build does mean more prims available!

Thanks also for looking at XStreet- Not sure which listings you looked at because I am certain my links to other similar product are clickable - the blog one isn't - I have tried repeatedly to make it so and have no idea why i have failed, shd be same as any other bit of BB code!

Thank you again for taking the time. It certainly helps to have the input.

Ralektra, I will be sure to come check your place out :)

I hope everyone's seen the aquarium skybox who wanted to. I'm going to be taking it down and consolidating everything on one half of my land - I've finally talked myself into selling the other half. It's so much fun to play on, and I love having all the space, but I'm not on it enough to justify the tier.

I really appreciate everyone's comments.

It's :: MVC ::

The reason I know is a funny story...Amar maybe you or anyone else who is going to take a look at my shop should wait a week :P

I went by Becks, and the shop looks great. So airy and clean and organized! Then I tp'd to Talon Faire....ok. Like, I don't have enough to do! I walked around in her store (which looks great by the way!) and was so impressed! Ok...who built this...right click the floor, get the creator name, profile, link, tp...hoo boy.

About time I had a store that isn't a big box, don't ya think? I walked back and forth between 3 or 4 of them, thinking 'footprint, prims, price' then I tp'd to a few other places because it is a bit of an investment. So, found a few, checked them out, twice as much! Back I went :)

Currently, all my decorations are picked up, and my entire inventory is scrunched into the very front part of my store. In the back, I have rezzed a footprint. Of course right after I rezzed the footprint and got it set, and just before I clicked the 'rez' button for the new building...3 people landed. Sooo I came here to say, please don't check my store yet, cause it's a heck of a mess!

It sounds like you're gonna be busy, but I'm sure it will be worth it. Let us know when the new build is ready--I'll be anxious to see it, Ralektra.

ACK!! I hadn't seen it yet so ran right over and based on the SLURL given, you must have taken it down as I had a nice "flight" to the ground...lol.

If you put it back up again at some point, please let me know (here, IM, PM...any method) and I'll come right over.

Oh, no! Yes, I took it down either before or right after I posted. It was right above my building platform, so you shouldn't have hit the ground, but SL was flaky today, so who knows.... I'm really sorry you fell. (We had a little RL financial shakeup, and I decided the only thing to do was to sell half my land, and I had to move things around RIGHT AWAY - a bit of an overreaction on my part, I'm afraid.)

Essentially, what I built was a box with cylinders at the four corners and inner and outer walls joining each side. Inside was a one-room living area, tiled in black marble; and the ring between the inner and outer walls was an aquarium with decorative elements and schools of fish.

I have the structure, but I took up all the decorative elements separately, so it would take a while to reassemble - though maybe not as long as I'm thinking. I'll definitely want to work with it more at some point, and I'll let you know when it's back up. (Probably not until after the holidays, though.)

LOL, np about the falling; having lived my SL in the sky I've done a LOT of that due to moving my home then forgetting to set home and whoopsss!

Your build sounds very unique and amazing! I look forward to seeing it when you display it again. :)

Wow, Amar!! I went to your store yesterday; it is GORGEOUS! Is that on the same land you had your previous store set up on?

When I see stores like yours, I start wishing I could purchase more land again. But then I remember when I *did* have a good amount of land, I procrastinated on the shop until I really couldn't afford to keep paying tier. I think, given my personality and situation, beginning small is a better option. But your store did make my mouth water. (And I got in on the MM board too, yeaaa!)

Ralektra and Miles...I'll be heading your way soon.

I did post the Xstreet "Info" sign with my thanks to Pearl and Raudf, adjusting the text to suit my shop but the majority left intact. It will be interesting to see if our signs have any impact. Isn't there a counter script that tells how many times a note has been taken from a prim?

And wondering if we get any "heat" from LL for posting them.

Yesterday was my visit to Ralektra's new store/layout and it was another WOW!!!! If I'm not mistaken, it looks like the same building Amar has, but I love how people can take the same starting point (in this case a particular prefab) and have it look totally different; putting their own personality into it.

In addition to the main shop, it was a really clever idea to put the Hiz & Herz items in a separate structure across from the main store. It really fits the merchandise. Also like the bargain shop nearby.

In the main store, I loved how casual clothes/new items, are on the first floor and gowns/evening wear on the second.

The whole setup from the separate shops and different style clothes on separate clothes really makes it easy for non-shoppers like me to find the area they want quickly. (As evidenced by my two purchases as well as having my eye on a third. ;) )

thanks :) I really like it :) I didn't mean to copy Amar and get the same shop as her but I really had a hard time deciding and that one was pretty much perfect for my needs. There was another that I liked, but it was done in a charcoal/black theme and was just too dark I thought. There was a bigger one of the same style that I wanted instead, but my footprint could only do 60x60 and it was 64x64.

I really got to recommend this guy because I haven't seen one prim out of place, or one little flicker! Really good work.

Ralektra, I visited your store and you made a wise choice in getting the new building. It's a perfect style and size for your shop. It's easy to get around and has a nice, classy feel. Had I seen that builder's work before I opened my shop, I would have purchased one of those buildings instead of creating my own. And I like how you have the separate shops, too. Everything looks GREAT!

Oops- had missed the previous three or four replies- thanks for the nice comments on the shop. Ralektra that builder is just the best! Yes it was an easy choice and though not cheap surely not out of reach and so very worth it. I will go by and see you place too. Czari, one of your holiday mats from last year now greets visitors :)

BTW- am so beside myself with excitement- next Tuesday an SL mag for fashion in SL is featuring TF! Me is qute pleased and excited- there is a kiosk at TF if anyone wd like to see the article when it comes out- mag is called Affinity. Sorry if i sd t before but i am just so excited.

Also, about to launch new line of lashes and the test group has given great revues so i wil be working on that.. also n the works, a collaboration that should proof rather unique and exciting on its own.

I'm asking for a opinion and some advice, I've recently opened up two stalls one in the Monkey Mall and one in Sunset plaza and i've not yet made a sale, i've been open at least 2 weeks. So i'm just wondering if i'm doing something wrong or are my designs not worth the prices i'm charging or is it because of the summer months?

What does everyone think and if anyone could give me some advice or tips on how too get my stuff selling or advice on advertising i would be extremely grateful.

http://shop.onrez.com/Rhianna_Larkham

Posted a link too my Onrez shop above just in case you would like too examine my creations too give me a opinion.

Thanks again

Rhianna

Hey Rhianna,

From my experience, mall stall's aren't the best place to get sales. The way I usually generate sales is selling inexpensive quality products on xstreet, and passing out demos of my products with a landmark to a small mainstore of mine, so people try the products and if they like them, they check out the mainstore and bring their friends.

Problem with stalls outside of clubs is people usually fly right by them to get to the club, and you may get a sale once a month there if lucky.

Yes, this thread has been around a while now! He might also want to take a look over on XSSL forums, because some changes are coming over there that might affect him if he has free items listed.

Amar I tp'd to two other places before I made my final decision, and they both ran just about twice as much!
