From: Miles Beck Remember that if you have your classified ad set to auto-renew, the TP, Profile, and Map numbers reset to zero when it renews each week. If you check your numbers soon after it renews, you'll see low numbers for that reason. I don't think they do, I'm pretty certain they don't.

Also, if you make changes to your ad and click the Update button (instead of just hitting the OK button), the numbers reset to zero (I think).
I recommend keeping at least a L$50 ad so it will show up under your profile's Classified tab. People do check profiles, and if you're serious about your business, many will expect to see a classified ad there. I am quite sure that updating the contents of the ad will reset the numbers to zero. I didn't know that the numbers reset to zero every week when the ad updated though, if that is true then my classified ads are doing a bit better than I thought.

From: eku Zhong whenever i check i am getting about 20-30 TP for my ad .. which means someone is looking at it. i just use my stipend for classifieds.. money in money out.. same day. dont even notice that i am paying for it That had been exactly my outlook- in and out- but if not getting hits is pointless regardless.. i will try it one more week then now that i know where to look and that it only shows the week's relevance- the last input from inworld folks from the Biz Network Group- thanks guys

Amaranthim, just sayin... when I click on a Classified and see something like that, with all those key words, blah blah, with no effort whatsoever to actually describe WHAT you sell - it's an advert, for heaven's sake! - I pretty much click away instantly. As one who searches Classifieds, I like to be entertained with real text, and have the keywords either hidden at the bottom of the page, or included in the text. Is your stuff more casual, or is it more formal? Or do you have a mish-mash? Then TELL us. Your Classified should reflect the tone of your mall/shop/etc, both with the photo and the text.
Re: your RL artist; what is his style? Is it Impressionist, Cubist, Realist, etc? Is it photography, oils, watercolor, CG stuff? Is he well-known in RL? Been reviewed? Does he have multiple styles, multiple media (e.g. paintings AND sculpture?) Stuff like that is way more informative than "art gallery."
Just one girl's opinion. Good stuff Oryx- thanks-You have seen my adverts in New Products haven't you? That is really more my style- I have done the adverts like taht because i thought it was what was needed- I will add ur outlook to it and go for more realism. Thanks As for the artist- ok- I will add more about him also- it is hard to classify - i shall ask him to write something up thanks for the idea.

I agree with Oryx - when I see a keyword block like that it is the LAST place I will TP to. I also suggest you break your business up into boutique shops rather than everything and anything. I see at least 4 distinctly different stores in that keyword string. 4 boutiques, 4 parcels, 4 listings...each can take advantage of each other's traffic and draw.
First though, you got get 'em to hit the TP button because your store sounds intriguing.

I stopped using classifieds then re-started 4 weeks ago. Before I spent my L$30K/week though we did our research on key words/phrases and titles. I think just to throw money at a classified is a waste without also looking at not only the content of the advert but also the quality of the goods you are selling. It's OK to get a ton of hits/week but if they don't convert into sales then wasted money. My previous ad's, which were for more cash, didn't produce anything like the number of TP's, maps and profiles that this one does. Are they worth the investment? If you have a good product, word them sensibly and do some research then yes, you will get your ROI.

I spent years tailoring my classifieed ads, making sure all keywords were relevant and ensuring that I paid just enough to keep my prefered ranking. I used to believe that my classified drove all my traffic and in Q1 this year I was spending about L$40K per week and getting a satisfactory amount of hits and end sales.
Then the new search was released and within 2 months my hits (clicks?) were reduced by half. But traffic and sales did not suffer at all. So this got me thinking. I then heard the rumours that the larger ads in the classifieds were in some way fraudulent. i.e. poeple werent really paying for them. So I stopped classifeds. My business didnt suffer at all. In fact I was saving my self L$150k per month so it improved my overall profit.
I now realise that allot of my traffic is generated by word of mouth, recomendations and also people stumbling upon my work in world. I sell prefabs, most of which are visually striking and they tend to stand out quite well among all the period builds and modern boxes that litter the world.
I now pay L$100 for my classified ad just to have a listing. I spend about L$5K per week gaming 'search all' which has improved my traffic even further and I can conclusively say that classifieds were a complete waste of money for me. I wasted millions of L$ on them and I would advise anyone with an established business to stop their classifieds...see what your revenue is after a week, a month. You may be better off by not wasting your money on them.

Body art, shoes... and now horns There are gardens and lovely music and dances and cuddles around- it is a nice place - hope u will come look. The gallery is next to the store area. Right now also there are a bunch of other Designers with their things on display for the season.

I like how classifieds somehow return more reliable results (if you skip the hand full of 50k+ exploits that's usually at the top) than the "search all" feature these days. Especially when shopping for specific items.

We all heard of the Pay for Picks, the Bot Camping... etc- how do you, yourself, go about "gaming search all"? I am not judging- just asking. Gaming has a nasty flavor- maybe u r using the available tools in some creative fashion ?
