Hi there!

I need some advice on how and where I could set up a discussion group for my current research on SL.

What I need is a suitable (particularly quiet) place that I could somehow secure for me and 5 discussion volunteers, who need to find the place easily as well. How can I do that? Oh, and is there a way to set a limit of how many people can join the place, so that no one just walks in?

Through my post earlier in February about my online questionnaire (see: /327/18/167808/1.html) I have already quite a few volunteers for the group debates, but if you feel you want to join in as well give me a shout via IM.

Any help as usual very, very much appreciated.

Just lease a small parcel short term, then put a Skybox up about 250 Meters, make the parcel group-owned and make it accessible to group only and turn fly off.

sounds like a future 3rd party site for Second Life....perhaps a new forum.....or i guess you could start a your own group within Second Life, let the people you want to join, then make it private or the cost to join outrageous

You can hold events in many Linden locations for free. Another tack: ask a person with a nice location if he'd let you meet there every week, or whatever you want to do.
